This car is one of two '72 Hurst/Olds that Don Schue. nbsp;the owner of Schue Oldsmobile in Chicago used to drive back and forth to work. The car was used by Don until about 10 years when it was passed on to a nephew. The '72 Hurst/Olds had some of the lowest production numbers of any produced with 629 made. 130 convertibles. 220 hardtops with sunroof. and 279 hardtops. Only color was Cameo White with 3m gold stripes that were stickers not paint. All cars had the W-25 Ram Air Hood and gold SS III Rally Wheels with chrome bolt on center cap and chrome beauty ring. The standard engine was a 455 Rocket V-8 mated to a Turbo Hydra-matic 400 transmission with console mounted dual-gate shifter. All 72 Hurst/Olds had the black strato bucket interior with center console. Special pace car badging on the glove box door and W -45 on the cowl tag. The previous owner had it sitting outside beside a barn and that's the reason for the small amounts of rust inside the engine compartment and on manifold. It had to been sitting for over a year and a half and it was brought in and completely reworked back to original condition. The engine was torn down and reworked right after his nephew sold it so motor has about 13000 miles on it and runs and sounds awesome.
