1930 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan. NO RESERVE
We've owned this car since 1974. In those years we lived on Oklahoma, and I found this car in a barn in the Pan Handle of Oklahoma.
I believe I'm the third owner. The second owner told me it had been occasionally used for mail delivery on the deep rutted roads because of its high ground clearance and tall wheels.
In 1976 we moved to Oregon, and years later, when I began restoration, I found dust still clinging to the frame. It had obviously survived the Dust Bowl of 1930; due to the dry Oklahoma climate. There was absolutely no rust at all.
It has original Model A driveline: four-cylinder L-head engine (rebuilt), 200 cubic inches, three speed transmission (floor shift), rebuilt differential, radiator, new steering knuckles and rebuilt front end.
Model A distributor, but with modern points & condenser, generator, carburetor and speedometer, all rebuilt (by Gordon Fischer).
Rebuilt starter, Spartan horn (ahoogah) works perfectly and looks beautiful.
New hickory bows under the new vinyl roof, paint work is catalyzed Emron (tough as nails!)
The Exterior paint is a gorgeous dark maroon with vermillion pin-striping. It has a black vinyl top, fenders and aprons.
Upholstery is gorgeous, (seats, headliner, door panels & carpet by Mark Fischer). While the Tudor Sedan came with standard interior, we chose to put the deluxe interior in. Six pleats instead of 3 in the front seats, and pockets in the doors.
Upholstery is the same as the original Mohair interior wool used by Ford.
New brakes (drums, shoes & rods). Brakes are mechanical. Brand New tires and wheel bearings. Headlights and radiator shell are stainless steel. There is a very small weld in the radiator shell (lower left), but not terribly obvious. (Pictures are near end of the ad) Door lock works. It needs a float for the fuel gauge and I have one available that will come with the car (Just needs to be installed).
The car has never been in an accident. It has just under 1,100 miles on it since restoration but it is exempt due to its age. [I've never installed the wiper, because it lives in the garage.] I've used it mainly for special occasions and to drive students away from their weddings.
It has permanent tags (Antique Vehicle Plates).
The work is done; this car is to be enjoyed. Bid with confidence! You are buying a beautiful piece of American History!
Also please feel free to call me or message me if you have any questions.
