The car was campaigned in 2008 on the Mustang Club of America show circuit and has been in a collection, undriven since. This is one of the rarest of all of the Mustang variants and bound to appreciate in value. The car has been fully restored to the last nut and bolt. The upper core support has the words Pace Car etched into it, thus verifying the authenticity and originality of the car (we have photos). The frame and underside are in wonderful restored condition. The car is in "show" condition, and runs and drives as new. The restored "Pace Car White (code c)" exterior paint is some of the finest paintwork we have ever seen and remains in show condition. It is probably in "to good a condition", as there is no orange peel, and the decals have all been clear coated. We do not consider this a flaw... The white vinyl interior is in show condition, as it the dash. We believe the 260 CID motor to be original, and rebuilt, it runs well, and puts out good power. The AUTOMATIC transmission shifts well, and works as it should. The suspension is well restored and sorted, and the car runs straight and is a VERY original car, with original quarter panels and fenders; all proper original date codes are in place. The car has power steering, and is easy to drive. The exhaust system is restored condition. is a VERY original car, with original quarter panels and fenders all proper original date codes are in place. The wheels are correct and restored, and the tires are period correct B.F. Goodrich "Redline" tires. The glass is all original except for the windshield and in excellent condition. The condition of this car cannot be overstated. The paint is better then original, as is the rest of the restoration. This may be the finest 64 Mustang Indy Pace Car on the market today. The chassis is likewise original as are the floors. The car runs and drives well. Bid with confidence, as this car needs nothing except a proud new owner.
