Car description |

For your consideration is a very nicely built 1931 Model A Rumble Seat Roadster Streetrod. This car was lovingly built by a father and son that have owned and operated an automotive machine shop for 40+ years. This was Dad's cruiser for several years and has always been a hit at local car shows and cruise nights.
They started with a very solid and rust-free Henry Ford Roadster body and frame. The chassis was boxed to add rigidity and strength.
The engine is a 327 Chevy small block with 6 inch connecting rods, ProComp aluminum heads with 2.02 intake/1.60 exhaust valves, full roller valve-train and 350 hp camshaft. The entire rotating assembly has been fully balanced.
Cooling is handled by a Champion aluminum radiator with custom shroud & thermostatic controlled electric cooling fan.
Exhaust is routed by a set of Jet-Hot ceramic coated headers and stainless steel exhaust system with power cutouts and Magnaflow polished stainless steel mufflers.
The transmission is a 700r4 overdrive unit with Lokar shifter and the differential is an S-10 unit with a Detroit Locker equipped with 3.73:1 gears with a polished stainless 4 link suspension.
The front axle is a 4" drop Super Bell, with polished stainless hairpin radius rods. Brakes are 4 wheel power discs.
The steering column is an Ididit chrome tilt unit. The seat, door & kick panels have been upholstered in a heavy rich brown vinyl. The top and top bows are in excellent condition as well.
The radio is located under the seat with a remote head unit mounted on the dash. Original fuel tank and gauge are utilized along with oil pressure and temp gauges located in the original Model A dash. The little roadster even has a 12V Sparton Aoogha horn!
This is a very well thought-out and well-built car that sits, looks and runs great!
