This is your chance to own a true classic automobile! For sale is a 1970 Ford Thunderbird 2 door beauty with a Landau top. I've owned the car for 6 years but have "known" it for the last 35. This Thunderbird's body style was only produced for the 1970 & 1971 model years and this one began it's life in California. It was originally outfitted with a 429 Thunderjet engine that burned leaded fuel. Some years ago the original engine was swapped with a 1975 Ford 460 7.5L engine out of a Lincoln It will burn either mid grade or premium unleaded in it(depending on the price of gas). This car is FAST! It cruises along just fine at 80mph & will respond even more should you choose to do so. It now runs like a champ as the carburetor was just replaced with a rebuilt one. The odometer shows 112000 miles which might be accurate for the car itself but the engine is I believe less than that. The P21575R15 Goodyear Assurance tires probably have less than 1000 miles on them. I don't drive it as much as I would like, hence the decision to let it go in order that someone else get a chance to enjoy it. The body is in overall very good condition. There is one spot on the drivers side rear quarter panel that will need attention at some point(as you can see in the picture of it). The paint is an older paint job and there are some chips in it. There are a few other minor issues, but not many considering the car is 47 years old! The horn does not work & to fix it, the steering wheel will have to be rebuilt or replaced as it's a rim blow type. The passenger side window does work, but the window track will need attention as the window does not quite go up all the way. The stereo is an aftermarket & is presently not working(I never bothered fixing it as I enjoyed the sound of the engine & exhaust as I tooled along at highway speeds and at times in slight excess of the posted speed limit). The A/C could use some Freon. The cruise control still works just fine. The interior is in overall good condition except for a couple spots on the drivers seat that could use some attention as you can see in the included pictures. Overall it's a very nice vehicle that you could enjoy for years to come! Due to the few paint chips & the spot on the drivers rear quarter panel along with the few other cosmetic issues, I would rate it from the high fair to good condition & have priced it (I believe) accordingly. You can buy it now for $8995 or make me a reasonable offer. A deposit of $500.00 via PayPal must be made within 48 hours & the remainder either in cash or cashier's check when the vehicle is picked up. I reserve the right to end the sale at any time as it is also listed locally. I do have other pictures that I can send or will be happy to take more of any specific area if you are interested. Pick this beauty up before someone else beats you to it!
