Car description |

Up for sale is a very nice 1966 fastback "A" code GT. I purchased this vehicle about a year ago as a nut and bolt restored vehicle. IT IS NOT, it is a very nice 51 year old car with alot of work that has been done to it. The following have been replaced:- New rebuilt 289- Rebuilt 3 speed automatic transmission- New wheels- New Tires- New Tuff Stuff one wire alternator- New starter- New Champion radiator with electric fan- New billet aluminum pulleys- New starter solenoid- New gas tank- New LED turn signals- New LED brake lights- New headlights with LED amber halos- New carpet- New upholstery- New dash pad- New headliner- New shocks- New sway bar bushings- New exhaust- New vacuum booster and dual bowl master cylinder- Front disk / rear drum brakes
I bought this car as my lifelong dream car, but my military profession doesn't allow for me to keep it due to duty station rotations. I hate to let it go, but I have driven it maybe 100 miles since I purchased it. New motor and rebuilt trans have less than 30 miles on them and still new initial timing dialed in. I personal don't like the new brake booster feel, to be completely honest it scares me. If I keep the car, I will remove the vacuum booster and just go with a dual bowl master cylinder set up like it came with from the factory. This is a really nice car, NOT a blue chip blue ribbon winner. A true 51 year old American pony car. Due to the cooling aspect of these mustangs I removed the new Scott Drake mechanical fan and just installed an electric fan, but will be more than happy to include the mechanical one with spacer. I also upgraded the dim tail lights to bright LED lights along with the turn signals. The xenon headlights with led halos wraps it all together. The headlights were installed after the pictures were taken. Feel free to ask any questions that you have. There is no warranty on the car, and the car is being sold AS-IS. Serious bidders only, $1,000 non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours of auction ending with complete payment due within 7 days. Bank transfers, cash, or certified check only. I have the clear Maryland title in hand, paperwork and vehicle don't leave until payment has been provided. Buyer is responsible for all shipping cost, I can help with loading and/or pick up.
