Stk. 2298 1956 Ford Club Sedan Back in 1956 Ford produced many versions of their full-size model - their only model. This Fairlane Club Sedan with its fully chromed front end stylish taillights and subtle rear fins was 1956 to perfection. A full restoration (2009) is 'all original' including an exact repaint of the factory colors - Fiesta Red and Colonial White (K/E code). Exterior accents include front/rear chrome bumper guards fender skirts and 15" radial white-walls and full wheel covers. The interior was restored back to original with red/charcoal cloth and the classic dash with AM radio and factory gauges is very easy to enjoy. Under the hood is believed to be the original M-Code Thunderbird Y-Block 292ci V8 that produces 202 horsepower and 289 lb/ft of torque. It has been rebuilt to stock specs and runs like a timepiece. The only modification was replacement of the original 'teapot' 4V carburetor with a much less temperamental Edelbrock 600cfm unit. Behind the Y-block is the factory 3-speed manual transmission equipped with overdrive. In 1956 Ford upgraded their models from a 6-volt electrical system to a 12-volt system with 30-amp generator. Look at the photos again - the attention to detail applied to the restoration of this Club Sedan is superb. This Ford is ready for a new owner who will appreciate the beauty style and excellent restoration of this full-size classic.
