Car description |
---|
I have 100% positive feedback. I have owned this T-Bird for 5 years and just went so far with the restoration and just not able to continue. Painted 3 years ago with my own design. Teal color is Chroma-Color with very small effects and black is solid high-gloss Imron.Had five coats of clear on top of that.
This car was a Northern California car all its life until I bought it and relocated the car to Pensacola, FL. I had an aftermarket (Classic Auto Air $1,200) A/C underdash installed. It works thru the heater mechanism.
The odometer reads 30,890 and have no idea if it flipped over or not although the title doesn’t show any odometer reading because of the age of the car.
Mechanical
This Ford is equipped with a 352 V-8 engine, and an automatic transmission.
Engine wise it fires right up. THE BRAKES DO NOT WORK. I had new drums installed all the way around 4 years ago and then a new aftermarket Master Cylinder installed, but now they have failed. Battery is new, starter was replaced. Dual exhaust brand new from heads on out. Motor mounts were replaced and so were the leaf springs (which were not cheap). All shock absorbers replaced.
Front End
As you can see from the pics, someone ran into it. The hood is propped up a bit, the front end caved in, two places on the bumper dented. No interior damage nor radiator damage. I installed an aftermarket '53 Corvette grill (with teeth) and no damage to that although it does have surface rust although bought brand new.
Exterior
The exterior has a few bad spots now which the pics show. Between the back window and truck there are a few spots that are bubbling and a paint scratch driver's front (see pics) and also a paint chip missing on the hood bottom. Other than that, had a professional car painter do all the work and every pit was filled in and sanded. All the chrome badges are aftermarket. All glass is great. The undercarriage and engine bay is in great shape. Installed two outside mirrors both aftermarket. Back radio antenna was installed and broke from a car cover. Both wheel skirts have new rubber and each works fine. Door locks are aftermarket. Passenger door does not operate properly and have not looked to see what the issue is. Both inside lids of the hood an truck were painted with Imron along with the inside door jambs.
Bumpers
I spent $1,000 each on the front and back bumpers to California and back with two year warranties. Now both have flaked and rusted. The front bumper is one piece and was sent to Bumper Boyz. The rear is five pieces and sent to a place that has since closed. There are four rubber pieces that do with this bumper and were all bought new aftermarket.
Interior
Before the bumpers started to flake and then the front bumper damage, the interior was my last project. The dome light is missing. The headliner is good with no rips, tears or sagging but could use a good cleaning. Both visors are in the same shape. The driver's seat needs new padding although there aren't any rips or tears, just the foam has lost its form. The other seats are in a good condition. All of the gauges and lights work. It has power seats and power windows although only two windows work. The steering wheel is new aftermarket. The chrome ring below this was rechromed. The horn does not work. The dash is crack free. Door panels are missing and the carpet would need to be replaced.

Buyer is responsible for shipping costs. I can cooperate with your shipper. I'm not a dealer and have come to a sad decision with selling this car. I love this car. It has a sole and for the past five years it was my mission to restore it back to a proud ending.
