1987 THUNDERBIRD PACE CAR...........TURBO COUPE

You are looking at the only Pace car that started the Race at the Watkins Glen Speedway in 1987 . Nice nut and bolt restoratio, witch I did most of the work, almost 7 years on and off ... torn it down, strip paint to bar, sent off to paint, then all the extra Re, White and Blue paint to another shop, then had a clear coat added . look at the front en, motor bay... Had the whole front engine baypowder coated White . Most of the nuts and bolts cleaned and coated too, or I bought OEM nuts and bolts too . Many years of step by step work was don, rebuilt engin, most is Stock, new flywheel and clutc, all belt, hose.., engine parts also powder coated .,valve cover, pulleys inner cooler and much more........Any NOS parts that I could find are on the ca, witch means ......Glass front and rear and 1/4 glass, every light on the car is NO, alot of interior parts are also NOS . Dash has no cracks, A/C is now R-13, nice and cold too . Does have a Alum. Rad. as a upgrade to the OEM......I believe that was the only upgrade don, wanted to keep this resto to a High grade OEM stock . Exhaust is as close as i could get to the OEM look .

Had a magazine wanting to do a report on this car was not done at the tim, but asked me many of many questions to make sure this was the real pace ca, after that long interview was told i do have the car and is the real car . I have 5 other Thunderbird, just getting ready to retire and a few cars will be up for sale . Have a great AMG Ben, soon to sell too .
