Car description |
---|
Car had 75,000 original miles BEFORE restoration. Approximatley 300 miles since restoration.
Completely restored 1966 Ford Thunderbird in 2004 by Pat Wilson Thunderbird, Freedon New Jersey. Car was in excellent condition before restoration, in need of an engine rebuild. Upon engine remove, I decided to go with a complete restoration. Original motor was re-built using all original parts, with the exception of a cracked exhaust manifold. Transmission rebuilt, rear wheel bearings replaced. Minor body work was done. 2 small rust spots repaired behind rear wheel wells. 1 front left fender was replaced with an original Ford Thunderbird fender off of a donor car. Car was painted to the original black color, new vinyl roof installed and trim and bumpers re-plated. Car has been garage kept since restoration. Car equipped with all available options for a 1966.
Car is completely original, numbers matching drive train. The interior headliner and carpet were replaced and the door panel re-dyed. 1 small crack on drivers seat corner. Interior is in excellent condition.
Car drives quietly, windows seal tight, no air leaks. I would be confident driving it at any distance.
