We are very pleased to offer this magnificently restored 1931 Ford Model A Deluxe 5-Window Rumble Seat Coupe! It comes beautifully refinished in period two-tone Kewanee Green/Elkpoint Green with Apple Green pinstripe & wheels. Inside, you will find a gorgeous Lebaron Bonney Deluxe Tan broadcloth interior and Brown naugahyde rear rumble seat! a fully rebuilt, and perfectly running, 201ci inline 4 cylinder engine built by Richard Fallucca of Antique Engine Rebuilding in Skokie, IL. This full Highway Touring engine features a counterbalanced crank, touring grind camshaft, V8 clutch & lightened flywheel, insert main bearings, 6.0 high compression head, insert connecting rods & bearing, and larger 1.73 intake valves. It is a faster, smoother, and more durable engine for optimum touring confidence! This upgraded engine is mated to a fully synchromesh 4-speed manual transmission with the 4th gear overdrive built by Gary's Model A's in Houston, TX. It allows the engine RPM's to relax in any gear, provides super smooth shifts, and speeds well capable to travel on the highway! A combination that should allow thousands of dependable miles of enjoyment!
Features include rear rumble seat, tilt-out front windshield, windshield visor, Ford step plates, dual side-mounted spare tires, locking doors, vacuum-operated windshield wiper, Ford Motometer radiator cap, correct Ford Two-light headlamps, radiator grill guard, Sparton "Ahoo-Ga" horn, dual cowl & tail lamps, etched wind wings, carpeted interior floor, door map pockets, interior mirror with working clock, rear luggage rack, Firestone 4.75/5.00 gum-dipped black sidewall tires, chrome hubcaps, along with leather hood protectors and retractable hood holders! Additional upgrades include a 1956 Ford steering box for tight, responsive steering adding greater confidence at highway speeds, turn signals, and dual outside rearview mirrors.
This delightful example comes from a collection in northern Mississippi where it was completely, frame-off restored by Model A expert Tommy Kuntz in 2015. Perfectly ready for display & show purposes, it has also been driven approximately 400 miles since completion. The body started as a magnificent specimen that was last restored in the 1960's. With the paint and interior looking tired, the body was completely stripped to bare metal and the entire chassis media blasted, and both were repainted. The engine is now meant to run on modern unleaded fuels, with all new braking system, all new suspension with fresh front & rear springs, all new chrome components, all new fresh fluids, ignition system, rebuilt generator, starter, new radiator & water pump, fresh 6-volt battery with auxiliary cutoff switch, and so much more! The same can be said of the beautifully recreated interior upholstery. All brand new from the headliner down, with the addition of safely belts. We quickly found the running gear to be in superb condition and worthy of speeds of 55-60mph without concern! We would welcome any questions and personal inspections. Please call anytime to discuss either possibility further. Thanks for looking!
