Car description

1936 Ford Series 67 1/2T Restomod Pickup

Almost 100% of fabrication work is completed and was done professionally.

This pickup originally began as a 1936 Ford 1.5 ton flatbed. Have pictures of original truck prior to modifications. Currently have $40,000+ in fabrication and restoration work receipts since 2001. Professional 1st class fabrication work all done by Ron Pircey Race Cars Federal Way WA, 98003. Full body off restoration began with original 1.5T frame. Up front is an all new Mustang II style Heidt's power rack and pinion steering with disc brakes and coil over shocks. Comes with 2" dropped spindles for the proper hot rod stance. In back is a narrowed 9" Ford Positrack differential with Moser axles, 3:73 gears and new drum brakes. Differential is built for high horsepower applications. Includes Chevy 1/2T leaf springs and HD new shocks at rear. 20 gallon steel tank mounted in rear. Note the frame is fully painted and finished in gloss black under the bed section. The cab section forward will need completed when the cab is removed for paint. Heavy duty frame was boxed at engine mount areas in front and at shock mount areas in rear.

Up front a new Walker brass 4 core BBC radiator is mounted. Radiator includes a built in Vintage air condenser already installed. Custom fabricated Chevy engine mounts are welded on the frame with a custom tubular transmission cross member mounted on the frame. A Gen 1 (350 Cu In 5.7L) Chevy engine and GM 700R4 (four speed A/T with overdrive) transmission are included, these were installed for mock up and should be considered as CORES ONLY! Note... plenty of room in the engine compartment for BBC or SBC as shown with HEI. A 1997 Ford Ranger stepside bed was used in place of the stock 36 Ford bed. The bed required massive hours to channel and modify to look and fit correctly. The bed height had to be raised due to the channeling. It is Rhino lines and it is finished painted in the intended final red metallic paint. Many modern builders are grafting the newer stepside beds onto the 30's and 40's style pickups to crate the restomod look. Some will like it and some will hate it, but it is what it is. It is exactly the right width and length and looks very good from all angles.
Also have the correct original style 1936 steel pickup bed, tailgate and driver's side fiberglass fender that comes with the project. It you would rather have it all 1936 style, this extra bed allows you to go either way. No body work has been done on the bed and tailgate, but they are in good restorable condition and the left hand fender and running boards are available from a variety of sources. Also comes with a 1934?? Ford front bumper that could be adapted for rear bumper. See pic. Regarding the all steel cab, fenders, hood, grille shell and doors. All metal was sandblasted and all rust areas were removed and replaced with new steel including floors, door bottoms, cab corners, etc. Doors were both reset and set up with proper even gaps and all hardware is installed. The under-performing original vacuum wipers were replaced with new Newport Engineering 2 speed electric motors with a custom cover. Original hinged front windshield replaced with new fixed custom frame (no leaks). The grill shell (perfect and ready for your polished grille insert), cab, hood and doors all have undergone complete body work down to guide coat primer. They are straight, rust free and ready for final prep and paint. The fenders are about 90-95% done. Very minor dings and dents need to be removed. They are also in guide coat primer, but will need finishing before paint. Under the cab floor you will find a new power brake booster and master cylinder installed and connected to the new brake pedal. Inside the cab a new custom billet dash bezel is installed. Also, all the mounting hardware is already installed and ready for Vintage heating and A/C system including firewall mount. Bucket seats with sliders are installed on custom fabricated mounts. A Lokar shifter is mounted and connected to the 700R4 transmission and the Lokar emergency brake handle is installed. Both the brake throttle pedals are installed. As you can see, all the fabrication is first class. In the upper cab corners you will see new shoulder harness mounts for 3 points seat belts installed. A new Iditit polished tilt steering column is installed and hooked up including a new Mustang wood steering wheel. Countless hours were required to make the stock 1936 Ford steel running board match the 1997 Ford Ranger running boards. See pics (will look much better when painted the same color)! The firewall is an all new steel BBC style smooth firewall. Brand new 15" radial tires are mounted on 'Old School' Cragar chrome mags. The original 1936 Front bumper is in great shape. The only items that I intended to chrome were the front and rear bumpers, door handles and the headlight buckets. Needed to finish... (You provide) Remove and prime and paint cab, fenders, hood grille shell. Includes a custom cab frame/stand for painting. Also paint front half of frame in gloss black (primed). Install your motor and transmission or rebuilt the cores that are in it. Install a Painless wiring harness and Vintage A/C heating kit. Needs instrument gauges for mini gauge dash. Needs glass. Insulate cab with Dynamat or ??? and then carpet and upholster. Install glass. Last...Drive and enjoy an awesome totally custom, one of a kind ride for years to come! You can't go anywhere without turning heads. Find finished examples online for $50,000 or more. Will provide all paid receipts from 2001 showing $40,000+ invested to date.
"Buying quality is like buying oats.
You can buy fresh clean oats for which you will need to pay a fair price.
Or you can buy oats that have already been through the horse.
That comes a lot cheaper."
Lost interest in this 16+ year project. All the difficult, time consuming and expensive fabrication work is done. It is down to the fun and most part of seeing it come to life, but I'm out of money and health (65). Will not respond to low ball offers or PayPal or Cashier's Check scams and I do not need help selling. Might consider trade of equal value. No projects. Too much invested to give it away. Experts estimate that it takes at least $50,000 minimum to do a first class restoration on even the simplest vehicles today. This is a chance to get into a great Restomod project and save big. All fabrication done by Pro's not amateurs!
