One of 6,315 (non Sprint) Falcon convertibles produced in 1965. Unit came from factory with 289 V8 and five lug wheels. Only 18.3% of these cars had factory V8's. I purchased the car in 1986 in Oakland California, parked in a barn covered in a tarp with what looked like years of dust. Since I purchased the car it has always been garaged when not driven. The car has been my everyday driver for 31 years and has been meticulously maintained. There is no rust, floor pans are original, drains inside trunk, under rear side windows and on bottoms of doors are kept clean. (California, Sacramento Valley car since 1988). Engine and drive train run like a top. Clear title, newer top, (no damage, excellent condition) rear window OK/scratches, top motor and hydraulics are excellent. Top is deluxe top with steel cables inside seams over the sides of the car to prevent the top flapping at high speeds or in wind. Top is left up at night to keep it stretched. Approx. 300+ HP, 289 V8, C-4 Auto trans, excellent, differential is inspected during oil change and fluid has been change throughout my ownership as have transmission fluid and filter changes and adjustments. 289 V8 has World Sportsman II cylinder heads, roller rockers, hooker headers, dual exhaust, turbo mufflers, (much quieter than glass packs) Edelbrock 500 carb. Aftermarket (for 65/66 Ford Falcon, Mustang, and Fairlane) 12,000 BTU (R134) AC, works very well. I live in a part of California where it can get up to 111F in the summers, therefore the car has a transmission cooler, two thermostatically controlled pusher fans between the grill and AC condenser. The factory two core radiator has been replaced with a four core. The stock Ford four blade radiator fan was replaced with a aftermarket Ford-like carbon fiber black five blade fan (very light) a shroud was also installed. The World Windsor Junior heads have larger exhaust ports and with the addition of the Hooker Headers, the car never overheats, even with the AC on and stuck in traffic. The four core radiator was recently rebuilt and heater core replaced. Tires are excellent, Carrol Shelby front end upgrade, heavy duty sway bars installed in front and rear, New dash ignition front brakes and master cylinder installed in 2016, Petronics ignition has replaced points. High performance timing chain, mild cam upgrade for passing on highway, does not shake the car at stop lights. Interior good, carpet worn, has wear and faded, seat covers replaced and in good condition. Upgrade kit for gas filler added inside trunk, dent in rear bumper, paint scratches. Steering has been rebuilt. Comes with original Ford Falcon factory spinner hub caps and owner's manual. I could not get a decent photo of the data plate. Data plate reads TOP LINE- 76A C 58 09J 72 6 6 Bottom Line- 5415C114872. Transmission code is 6, I assume that represents Cruse-O-Matic. Axel Code is 6, Axel ratio is 2:80:1. All work on motor, transmission, differential, heater, radiator, steering, front end, brakes, ect were done by licensed mechanic. New top was installed by a professional auto upholstery shop. I only did the no-brainier stuff like change carburetors, tune ups, oil changes, ect. You name it, it has most likely been replaced or repaired. There are lots of extras, including steering gear core, and interior and exterior trim. I am 68 years old and injuries and arthritis have made it impossible for me to maintain the car any longer which was something I enjoyed throughout the years. It's time to turn the old girl over to someone else who can enjoy her. Buyer is responsible for transporting vehicle. As soon a funds are cleared and in my account, the car is yours. I am in no hurry to sell the car, I am not in the business of buying old cars, fixing them up and then selling them.I am not selling this car because I need the money, however I do need the space it takes up in my garage. Speedo reads 82558.5. Add at least another 100 thousand miles to that. Thank you Chuck 530-892-2117
