Car description

1971 Ford Torino GT fastback. A35 model car = GT Fastback

Original H code GT car with Air Conditioning (under hood components are missing). Retains all of the GT trim and badging. 98% rust free southern car. All original sheet metal. Undercarriage is in great condition, frame rails, floor pans and torque boxes are rust free. Exterior sheet metal is also very nice with minimal rust on the trunk lid. Original color of the car was yellow but has been repainted black which was done very nicely to include all door jams and insides. 72,000 original miles. Car has power steering and manual brakes.

Interior is all original and is in decent condition. Carpet was replaced when I pulled out all the old to check the floor pans.

This car is for someone who wants to have a project to play with while still using as a daily driver as the drivetrain work is already done. Car is presentable as is or restore to its factory glory.

The original 2 barrel 351 Cleveland was replaced with a 1971 M code 4 barrel 285HP Cleveland. Block Casting is a D0AE-J. The engine has been rebuilt using the stock crank that has been cut .010 rods and .010 mains. Bore is stock at 4.00 with new pump gas friendly small dish pistons. Heads are D1AE closed chamber 4 Barrels which yield a 10 to 1 compression ratio. Ignition is a stock ford distributor with a Petronix mag pickup and coil. Carb is a 625cfm Carter AFB. Aluminum radiator with dual electric fans keeps the car cool. Original stock 4V exhaust manifolds with dual exhaust exiting behind the rear wheels.

Transmission is the original C4 which was rebuilt with a new B&M 2000 stall convertor and separate transmission oil cooler.

Rear end is the original 9 inch with 3.50 gears and traction lock posi.

Car runs and drives very well. Engine is very strong. Can be driven as is for daily use or easily restored for a show car. Call or text 912-224-9693 if you have any questions or would like to see the car.
