1971 Ford Thunderbird. I bought it from the original owner and it still has a california pink slip and registration from 1978. the vehicle has not been registered since then. It is a 4 dr with suicide rear doors, factory 429 Thunderjet engine, automatic, a/c (currently no belt on compressor), leather interior, wire hub caps. this car has been in california and arizona it's whole life. I just installed new cap, rotor, points, wires, edelbrock intake & carb, water pump, t-stat, etc. Car runs and drives. Needs gas tank cleaned out which I will try to do before sale is concluded. Currently running off can in engine compartment hooked to factory fuel pump. Car has what I consider mild rust, mostly due to sitting covered up. Rust in usual area from vinyl top. Some in lower quarters from dust a dirt collecting and holding moisture. no rust that I can find in floor pans or trunk. Vehicle has a few small dents in body (front fenders, all displayed in pictures) Vehicle needs a small amount of wiring repaired in trunk that goes to tail lights due to rodents getting in trunk and chewing on them. rear tail light lense is partially melted due to being near a house when it burnt down. no driver front door glass. I bought the car for something cool to cruise around in and because of the suicide doors. selling now to get money to finish restoring a 55 chevy for my father.
