200 + HIGH Resolution Pictures in Photo Bucket:200+ Photobucket Pictures of 1961 Bullet Bird! For your consideration is a very nice 1961 Ford Thunderbird 390! Z code (10:1 Compression Ratio on this engine) 4 Barrel with medium riser heads and intake! You can run regular pump fuel in this one – no lead needed! It runs and sounds great! There are over 200 high definition pictures of this car in the link below. (This car should have a new front seat cover but its backordered. when you buy this car I am writing you a check to cover two OEM front seat covers). Power seat DOES work well! The pictures tell the story of this super solid and clean car. If you are looking for a great cruise car this is it! There are so many new parts. I am going to try and highlight all the new and updated parts below. This car has brand new suspension. the big bad FE engine upgraded to medium riser components and brand new braking system. To make this car a show car you would need new front seat covers and re-chromed bumpers. I didn’t get time to do that. Also like almost all of these 61-63 Thunderbirds the column doesn’t keep the car firmly in park. It works like just about all of them. A huge upgrade was the 64 column and I have one that is a swing away wheel! I can include that if you are interested. With 61-63 birds it is always important your parking brake works well and this one does. Besides those pieces this would be considered a “frame up” restoration. Everything is there and this car is solid! Floors. trunk. etc. are great and solid as can be! Look at the pictures and see the floors from the top and underside. The underside of doors. trunk and roof lids are rust free! The car is not perfect but could be with a little more put into it. All of the hard stuff is done. I am selling due to other projects. I have a 406 Galaxie that needs done and well…. I just cannot keep them all. With that said I would like to see this bird fly to a new home. I’m not desperate so I won’t give it away but it is going for a LOT LESS than value. There is over 15k invested into this car between new paint. front end. brakes. steering box. etc. I don’t care what is invested into the car and my reserve is less than blue book value and what I have invested. Everything below is BRAND new: All brake components brand new Tires (brand new. purchased 1. 12. 15) Power brake booster Front and rear shocks Fuel line Fuel tank reconditioned Fuel sending unit and float Head light switch All new front end – 100% of the suspension components are brand new top of the line. (15 miles on them as well) Tie rod ends. ball joints. sway bar end links. sway bar bushings. idler arm. and steering arm. all new. Brand new concourse steering box Power steering pump and lines Front seat covers would be on here but they are backordered until May (the price of covers and labor have been removed from the price of the auction already) Carpet Paint job (correct color and very nice!) Thunderbird trim badges Roof pillar bird scripts Trunk lock and bird emblem Door. window and trunk rubber Trunk mat. side panels. and spare tire cover brand new (concourse correct) Headliner Hood pop cable and handle Headlight switch Ron Francis wiring (HUGE upgrade to factory problematic T bird wiring and fuse box) NOS larger port Exhaust manifolds (C6ME I believe) HiPo heat riser delete Edebrock Performer RPM 600 CFM Carburetor Stainless mufflers and 2. 5” 409 stainless exhaust tips (427 turn down style) The brakes and suspension feel SO nice on this car! Factory 390 dual exhaust. h-pipe with brand new rear performance mufflers and tail pipes (stainless) Hardened valve seated medium riser heads Medium riser intake Converted from generator to alternator Factory tinted glass Original color Of course buckets and console!Power SeatFactory Skirts Power brakes and power steering Things that I didn’t hook up or fix yet: Stereo still needs hooked up along with temp and fuel gauge (they work and have new sending units). I didn’t get to the horn or turn signal switch (have a new switch. I will try to get that in before the auction end). It’s just an hour or so to sort that out. I just didn’t get to that. The rest of the car is killer and all set for you! Paint. suspension. brakes. all the hard stuff is brand spanking new. Wish I could keep this one but the 406 car will take up a few spots during the build and well let’s face it…. a ton of cash. Heck. I will have over 15k just into the engine on that car. The 390 in this thing…. Wow is it snappy and strong. It’s a 390 FE big block with hardened valve seated medium rise heads/intake and 600 CFM carb. Its fresh a fresh Z-code bottom end with updated top end. new carb. and new ignition. This is ONE GREAT running/flying birdie. Take a listen to the video. This thing simply sounds GREAT! Oh… the exhaust. that’s what’s really cool. It’s mellow when you want it to be and screams when you need it. The car has 3. 00:1 gears. cruise – o – matic 3 speed auto and 300 HP 390. Please take time and look at each picture. Please watch the video. Please ask any questions. And by all means. try to find a way to buy and enjoy this rare bird! At the end of the day – all of the hard work is done. The car looks great! The cars runs SUPER STRONG. It’s my loss and your gain. I just can’t keep them all! Legal stuff that needs to be said with any classic car being sold…. This car is sold as is and has no warranty. If you have questions. ask. Please look at the pictures and ask questions. You are responsible for delivery. There are so many different shipping companies out there that are so competitive – it won’t be an issue! While everything is fresh on this car. it is winter and everything is so new. As with any restored car or classic car a break in period is required. I don’t recommend a long drive as its maiden voyage. Since everything is new this car has only been driven around the block. I don’t do any games with titles or anything like that. The car is in my name with a clear title. Before you take the car it will be transferred to your name as well. I will accept cash and/or bank check. A deposit can be sent via PayPal to hold the car. I cannot store all winter as the only reason I am really selling is because of space. I think that covers it! Oh…you bid. you buy! If you have less than 10 feedbacks in this past year and/or not 100% positive feedback. PLEASE contact me before bidding. Please! NADA Classic Car Value 1961 Thunderbird 390 300HP Hardtop
