1996 Ford Mustang Convertible - Needs Complete Restoration

THIS IS NOT A SHELBY, it just has some Shelby repro badges on it.

I bought this vehicle many years ago from a junkyard. I thought that some day I would spend a bunch of time and money to rebuild it. Well that is not going to happen. Now you can do it ; )

This car has the 5 lug wheels, a V8 (non-original 302?), and an automatic transmission. Years ago the engine was running and the car could be driven. The engine can be turned by hand. I was going to work at getting it started but the water pump pulley and fan is not there, so I can not proceed.

The hood on the car is fiberglass and it is cracked at the hinge mounts. The engine has non-stock headers and exhaust. The interior need a major restoration, very little is original. I tore out the rotted carpet so it would be easier to inspect the floor. The convertible roof, needless to say, needs replaced. The tires are very cracked.

In the trunk are the braces that go to the shock towers, along with a pair of repo cast aluminum Cobra valve covers. The front bumper supports and seat belts are there too.

Other than what I stated here, I can not make any guarantees concerning the current condition this car. You can safely assume that everything needs to be redone. I am not a "car guy".

The property where the car currently resides will be transferred to a new tenant so it must be removed - NO EXCEPTIONS. I will be traveling for work on the weekends and will not be available from Friday noon till Sunday night to accept payment. Once payment is received you could pick up the vehicle on the weekend.
