I bought this farm truck out of Kansas a few years ago. Replaced the fuel pump ( which is now electric ) and got pretty much everything working except some gauges. It had been rewired and is 12V with an alternator. Was barn stored from 1988 to 2013 and is very sound except for floors. A metal plate has been welded in on the drivers side and the passenger side could use one. Probably had wood sides and hauled grain at one time but was converted to a steel bed with removable sides. Has a 12 ft. dump bed powered with PTO driven hydraulic pump and it works well.It has the 239 flathead V-, 4-speed and single speed rear axle. I understood this is a replacement engine installed in the 70's. New parts include a carburetor rebuild, fuel pump, fuel tank, master cylinder, brake lines, wiring and rebuilt radiator. Starts easily and runs whisper quiet with no smoke, knocks or misses. Runs, drives and stops but has not had much use. Tires hold air and have good tread but are old and dried out. VIN tags are on firewall and glovebox and read F5R1SP14851. The Kansas title and now Texas title show 15867. I would say this is the previous engine number but am not certain. Just wanted to mention it. Neat old truck.
