1949 Ford F3 Pickup Truck, with original Flathead V8.We can help to arrange to ship anywhere for the buyer. Selling with No Reserve to the highest bidder.
This Ford F3 Pickup is complete and in original un-restored condition. There is very little rust. The only rust issome in the floorboards and a little on the bed side which could easily be repaired. The cab corners are good. The front fenders are very solid which is unusual for most Ford F-Series of this generation. There are very few dents on this truck, it has very straight fenders and a straight body. The wooden bed flooris rotted. The interior is in good condition,it has bucket seats from a Thunderbird. The dash is in nice shape. It has wide rims and BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires.
This truck came from an Indian Reserve in Canada and is an original Canadian model truck so is therefore badged as an F68 in reference to the 6,800lb gross vehicle weight. From '48-'50 Canada badged their F Series trucks in reference to the gross vehicle weight before falling in line with the US in '51 when the F47 became the F1 and the F68 became the F3.
The Flathead V8 ran when I got this truck a few years ago, I actually drove it back here. But it did have a misfire so I took it apart to fix and got some new valves for it but never finished the job. It is complete though and all of the engine parts are neatly placed in the cab. It has been stored inside up until recently.
Overall a good solid original, complete and very straight truck
