Car description

1927 Ford T bucket. The car was built in the late 70s to early 80s. It was titled and drove from 1983-1996. It has been sitting in a garage since 96! It is a steel body. The body started life as a 27 touring. The car is titled as a 1927 Ford Rod with a TN state issued VIN number. The chassis components were purchased from Speedway Motors. It is a tube front axle with 1953 chevy car spindles. It does have front drum brakes. The steering box is a corvair aluminum box that has been reversed. The rear end is a 57-64 chevrolet stump type. It has a ratio of 3.36. The engine is a 1964 283. It runs great. No noises or anything odd. It holds great oil pressure. I was told that it had been rebuilt when the bucket was put together. The engine has a Weiand intake manifold and 600 CFM holley carb. The transmission is a powerglide. The slotted mag wheels all look to be in excellent condition but could stand to be polished on. The tires are in great condition and I have not seen any cracks but they are probably 30 years old. The car runs, drives, and stops as it is.
The car needs tlc to be a weekend cruiser. The tires feel like they are flat spotted from sitting. I would rebuild the brakes. They work and the car stops but I have no idea of the condition of the wheel cylinders or brake shoes. I have only drove this car in my neighborhood and driveway. The transmission likes to drip fluid when it is parked. The car doesn't have an air cleaner on it. The radiator needs attention. The side braces have came loose and need to be soldered. As stated it started life as a touring car. Both doors still open and close. The cowl has been shortened. It now has a plywood inside with what was polished aluminum behind the engine. The body is how the car was when I got it. It has a wood floor in it and they have used spray foam around the corners. Could be a really fun car with just a little tinkering.
I prefer cash in person. $500 deposit required.
