Up for Auction; My Daily Driver 1994 R-code First Generation Ford F150 SVT XLT Lightning Truck. SVT #3531 of 4007 Lightning's in 1994. VIN# 1FTDF15R1RLB27221. 174,9XX miles, I have owned this truck for about 16 years. Purchased used, by me, in 1999 with 58,000 miles on the clock. I'm unsure how many previous-owners were before me. My plans back then were to drive it daily, then eventually restore her back to original condition when I got older. The last few years, I stockpiled new replacement parts for restoration as I could afford / find them. But now I am at a point where I'm not interested in doing another vehicle restoration. (check out my other listings for parts up for auction that I collected!)
Rather than keep driving it everyday (and risk rusting out from our fabulous salt-brine we use here in winter) I would rather see someone restore her to her former glory, as I don't have the desire to do so anymore. You can drive her as-is, restore or hot rod her out! Always starts, runs, drives properly everyday (driven until day of listing). She has her problems, but a good Generation 1 Lightning overall.
This truck has and/or comes with; Ford SVT certificate, dual fuel tanks w/locking fuel caps, owners manual, service manual, carbon-fiber dash & instrument accents (aftermarket), aftermarket stereo & speakers w/instruction booklet (comes with original speakers, too), class 3 hitch, P.W, P.L, P.S, P.B, folding P/mirrors, auto-dimming rear view mirror, factory alarm, cruise, (COLD) A/C, newly installed NOS OEM Ford air-dam, brake switch-recall performed, edelbrock performer shocks, Toyo Proxy ST II tires, (aftermarket) splash guards, factory exhaust w/aftermarket mufflers installed, FMS plug wires, Taylor cap & rotor, K&N cone filter (original assembly also comes with truck), (factory) flip up center console/third seat, factory seats, two spare fog light housings, spare lightbulbs, spare keys, keyless entry (1-fob), etc etc. Lock Lug on all four wheels w/key. Black vent visors, Rear fuel tank and both fuel pumps replaced some years back. Recently installed Ford Racing water pump & gaskets, upper & lower radiator hoses. Bendix rear drums and shoes, slotted aftermarket rotors from Summit. Sliding rear window. Engine & Trans. has never been apart by me in its life with me, and as far as I know, it is stock drivetrain. Oil changed every 3000m or four months (approx.), trans fluid changed every 60-70,000 miles (approx.) ...on & on.
The bad; interior/seats could use a shampooing, original steering wheel wrap is coming apart,rust on D.S front fender lip & bottom (see pic's), rust on P.S corner-cab and sill. Chrome wheels are pitted and/or peeling (thanks to salt-brine here). R.Rear tire has a slow leak that eludes me. D.S P/window only goes up/down when it wants to. P.S P/door lock is disconnected or broken. Slide cover for cup holders is broken. The Brakes; since the day I bought her, some days they feel great, some days they feel soft, nevertheless they've always worked. Oil leak from what I believe is the rear-main seal (?). I installed cheap brake pads, which should be replaced with better quality. Spare tire mount broke, so spare is in the bed. Shift lever boot has been MIA since before I got her. Aftermarket front bumper black trim doesn't fit perfectly. Clear coat is peeling on hood and other spots of paint, truck was repainted sometime before I bought her. Original rear tube bumper was replaced due to rust. Normal scratches, dings, dents for a daily driver of this age. Bed replaced (with another from a Lightning) but wasn't repainted.
