Car description |
---|
1970 Ford Mustang Fastback with matching numbers engine and factory 4 speed top loader transmission rear with power brakes and p/s. This well cared for mustang retains all its original sheet metal including its original floor pans, torque boxes which are totally rust free. It has been loaded with all Boss 429 features, such as correct B9 hood scoop with air flap operated by cable inside, has air cleaner with matching hood seal, factory Ford rev limiter on fender well, 750 Holley carburetor with manual choke which is cable operated from inside the car with correct brackets for B9, aluminum intake, battery has been moved to trunk with correct Boss 429 battery box, has correct and original spare tire with jack and a 1970 Ford can of air to pump up a tire.
The car was purchased brand new in Orange, California and has remained a Southern California car all of it's life and it shows. It began with a straight, solid and original rust-free car. It was stripped, blocked and shot with DuPont Imron polyurethane. Car rides on factory Magnum 500s 15” X 7” wheels with correct hub caps, lug nuts, locks and correct period looking Goodyear Eagle tires. In addition, most of the parts are NOS and/or restored originals.
On par with the rest of the car, the cockpit was treated to a factory correct 1970 Boss deluxe interior including perfect rim blow steering wheel that works, many parts are NOS including the pristine dash pad. As an added bonus, there is a completely restored fold down rear seat (not offered on the original Boss). The car is well insulated and very comfortable on long drives.
Under the hood you'll find the professionally built 351 Cleveland bored .030 over with 9:7:1 compression which is pump gas friendly. It has been balanced and blueprinted with forged pistons and has a small cam. The car has only logged a little under 2,000 miles since it's completion several years ago. Not only is it a beautiful car, it's turn-key and always ready to go anywhere. Everything works as it should.
Great opportunity to own a thoughtfully built grabber orange, beautifully crafted Boss tribute car with all of the right touches. This is an opportunity to add a Jon Kaase Boss 429 Hemi engine, if you chose to all the other work is done. Comes with a clear title and plenty of documentation tracing it's history back to the beginning of it's easy life including the original window sticker and Marti report. I have 4 notebook binders of all the maintenance records right down to things as small as a marker light bulb. This car runs and drives excellent with no issues.
I reserve the right to end this auction at anytime since it's for sale locally as well.
For questions call (804) 426-7730 ask for Bill. Please do not ask for the reserve price. Thanks
