This quality tribute Shelby GT 350-S Mustang is restored to be ready for cruise nights or car shows, and just to drive!
Custom-built, fully restored 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT 350-S tribute
Finished in the Shelby correct Lime-Gold Green Metallic (which is the proper paint code for the car) with Shelby Indica Gold stripes, the car has a nice clear coat paint job, done November 2015, seeing a car in clear coat in this color just lights up when the light reflects on it. Front and rear bumpers are new and have a good fit and finish and show well. Most exterior chrome pieces also are new and have brilliant finish, stainless has been polished. The weather stripping on windows and trunk are new and others still very pliable with very little shrinkage or drying. The tan convertible top and rear window is new and the power convertible top works well. Both outboard and inboard headlights are new Halogen and operate properly. Taillights lenses also are new with and operate sequentially with modern electronics. This car has the correct fiberglass long nose, 67-rear taillight panel, trunk lid, proper side-scoops and other installed fiberglass pieces for a Shelby car.
Engine; has very low miles on a professional rebuild and runs strong as it is topped of with the Correct style "Cobra Supercharger" from Paxton. It has Big Block power wrapped in the nimbleness of the Small Block package. It starts very easily, and mostly at the tap of the key. It is topped with an Aluminum Edelbrock intake manifold with a Holley carburetor inside the supercharger bonnet. Engine enjoys low resistance wires, Cobra valve covers as dress ups. It has an aftermarket radiator (as stock) and runs cool. Then with a modern touch, the power package is its backed up with a T 5 Tremec transmission, so it cruises at 65+ with ease and still has a neck snapping first gear that pulls hard.
Suspension; The A frames have been relocated, as in the early Shelby cars. A chrome Monte Carlo bar and export brace is installed as well as new spring saddles. The original Shelby type Mag Star wheels are very nice and show very little marring or curb rash and carry BF Goodrich white letter radials. (There is one ding in one of the trim rings but does not show in the pictures)
The Shelby Mustang is a higher performance variant of the Ford Mustang, which was built by Shelby from 1965 to 1967, and from 1968 to 1970 by Ford. In the world of collector cars, the Shelby name is synonymous with extreme performance and collectability and this tribute car will not disappoint, so don't miss the video. I've been a "Mustanger" for over 40 years and I know these cars, see August 1979 Hot Rod, as I had a car featured that month/year. I even owned a Mustang business (several years) in the early 1980s. This is a very fairly price car; there are $200,000.00+ Mustangs out there and this one has the cool factor as the best of them for a fraction of the price!
Interior: The rich Black front seats are new and rear are excellent, all look great. The stainless style dash gauge cluster as well as all the dash chrome pieces are all new and show excellent. Excellent matching carpet throughout the interior with newer style Cobra floor mats. The door panels and dashboard are matched perfectly with the interior and look nice with the lower scuff panels that have the lights in them. A genuine wood steering wheel carries the Shelby horn insert. The AM/FM Ford equipment radio operates as designed and has the rare factory louvered aluminum kick plates with speakers installed. Tachometer is installed in the center of the instrument cluster with the "289 High Performance" emblem. The factory style padded roll bar finishes the racy interior and is excellent.
The windshield has some minor wiper scratches, however the original windshield is properly date coded.
A custom build that runs and drives amazing. And so very rare to see in original light green, (Lime Gold Metallic) with Hertz gold (Indica Gold) stripes and the whole package in a 1967 Shelby GT350 S ("S" designates Supercharged), convertible. With VERY minor imperfections visible upon close inspection only.
When racing legend Carroll Shelby passed away, the demand for authentic Shelby pieces hit an all-time high. With many of the originals becoming near priceless and irreplaceable museum pieces, smart enthusiasts are now buying cars like this slick 1967 Shelby GT350 S convertible tribute in vintage form. Don't confuse this car with the cars that are done wrong, (such as cheaper hood, no front extensions, wrong wheels, etc.). It cost extra to do a car like this but it's worth it and it shows. This Is simply a gorgeous convertible Mustang that was done as a 2015-2016 project; so it' freshly done. It Is Equipped With the 289-CID V-8 Engine Cobra Paxton blower, paired with an Tremec 5 speed Transmission topped with vintage shifter rod and Cobra shifter knob. As you may know, there was only ONE 1967 Shelby Mustang Convertible,(Carroll Shelbys' own), and this is a tribute to that car and the cars that would come in the following years.
All the parts have the vintage look even though most are new. And the interior is topped off with the vintage style roll bar and fiberglass interior panels to finish off the Shelby look.
The 289 V-8 Engine has been rebuilt and is topped off with the Cobra dress up kit, an Edelbrock intake manifold, Holley, 4V, Genuine Paxton in correct color, Stainless Steel Try-Y headers backed by a manual 5-Speed Tremec Transmission,
Suspension is started off with 1967 Shelby Mag Star Wheels, Modern front disc brakes with cross drilled rotors, relocated upper A frames, export brace, custom Monte Carlo bar and shod with BF Goodrich tires, so it is really fun to drive and she handles very well
This car is well thought out and is in a fine package that runs as a high performance vehicle should; dependable...It would be impossible to replicate at this price if you had to send it out and have done.
Details This tribute GT350 S is truly done well, as with most early convertibles the floor pans and some repairs were necessary and completed, ( and besides factory stamped floor pans) stainless steel was used, so this should last a lifetime! See the video of the underside. The car will bring and smile to your face every time you use and show it. Call
