Car description

Very Solid 1946 Post War Texas Ford F100 Truck. Truck was stored in dry storage the last 15 years. I rebuilt the carburetor & starter as well as changed plugs and wires and was able to get running pretty good. Truck still needs several things as seen in description below to be a reliable Friday night cruiser. I have found that most of these Vintage F100 trucks have been altered from there original state. This one is still in an unmolested condition. Depending on your plans if you want just a decent non restored truck then this trucks most serious problems are brakes. tires and electrical. I want request that any serious buyers contact me prior to purchase to make sure this project is for you. I have found that I have documented more bad then good in this EBAY listing but I just want to be clear as to the condition of this 69 year old vehicle. 1946 Ford F100. Barn Find Good Overall Condition for Project Pickup. This Texas Truck has very solid frame and body with (mostly surface rust present). Great start to an original fairly complete F100 truck. This truck will run and move around under its own power. Needs brakes (one wheel sticking and no brake pressure) and electrical (suggest complete rewire to 12 volt) to be reliable. Tires look good in pictures but are dry rotted. Glass appears to be original and shows signs of delaminating on edges. Door glass cracked both sides but still roll up and down good. Passenger outside door handle broken but door still opens. Driver door hinge needs repair (see Photo) Original style of drive train all though it is Unknown if #s matching. Paint on this truck is a poor job but looks really good from a distance or in pictures. Paint as bad as it is has preserved it well. I'm sure there is bondo on this truck as noticed where running boards connect to fenders. engine smokes some when started and has some blow by when warmed up. Truck has lots of power. Floors and cab corners seem to be in excellent condition. Hood trim and one hinge damaged but overall hood and latching system in very good condition. Truck comes with a rear bumper seen in pictures. Running boards have dents. nbsp; I removed gas tank assuming it was going to be no good but it was already clean and at one time lined with a special coating. I still have not installed it back and currently run using gas can in cab. Truck is currently registered as an Antique in State of Texas. I have a clear blue title in my name. Please contact me to schedule appointment to view truck. Out of state buyers rest assure I can secure truck for a period of time if paid in full for you to coordinate carrier or plan trip to Beautiful San Antonio. Texas. Those outside of US interested in truck I can deliver to the Port of Houston. TX for a fee but you will need to coordinate the rest. Truck Sold As Is. There will be no refunds after Successful bidder has taken delivery of truck by carrier or in person. Call or Text Jason at 210-643-9335 with questions.
