I bought this car a few years ago on e bay and have made improvements over the years. It runs and drives and stops good. It is a 1947 flat head 8 Ford 2 dr. sedan that from the factory received left over 1946 front fenders and 46 stainless. They call them 46 over 47. These cars were mostly sold as police cars. Improvements: new Fenton cast iron headers, exhaust, new brakes and master cyl.New 6v pos. grnd. alt. that looks like a gen, fuel pump, hoses, belt, plugs, plug wires, alum. intake and Super 97 carb, radiator cooling fan, under dash gauges, new removable floorboard.Good stuff when I bought it: The exterior body is in real nice shape along with the stainless. The tires are 90%, interior was redone at some earlier point and it is very nice, the glass is good and the windows all work well, doors are true and function as almost new, heater works, hood and trunk work as they should. The engine is solid, no smoke, noises, leaks andhas been rebuild at some earlier point. There is a plate riveted to the block under the gen/altwith "oversize" specks on it. The trans. functions well and the rear-end as well. The fuel tank was newer when I got it and the radiator was rebuilt. Lots more good but space is limited. Not as good: needs paint with the exception of the rear fenders which I had repainted. Wipers need work. Trunk is solid but has some patch. Bumpers need re chrome. Comes with: New seals for windshield and rearwindow andcowl vent. Front bumper and brackets, stainless for rear fenders. Ask Questions!
