Car description |
---|
Virtually no rust on the whole car. 91,xxx original miles. Original paint is super shiny. Original interior is clean and nice except for a couple of tire marks that will come off with bleach and a magic eraser. EVERYTHING WORKS. It could be a great daily driver. No smog check EVER. So many new parts it's hard to mention it all:
Fuel System: New fuel pump, new fuel tank sending unit, new soft fuel lines, fuel filler neck gasket, carburetor adjusted, gas tank acid washed and coated, new vacuum lines
Cooling System: New radiator, new water pump, new thermostat, new thermostat housing, all new hoses, coolant flush
Brakes: New Master Cylinder, new rear wheel cylinders, new brake pads, new parking brake cable, brake system flush and bleed
Drivetrain: New timing belt, new power steering and alternator belts, new rear U joint, oil change and filter, transmission fluid flush and filter
New Battery
New Starter
New Tires
New Vinyl Landau Top
New Radio Antenna
It runs and drives extremely well, and would be a great candidate for a show car if someone wanted to invest a little more time and money into it. The engine is a Ford Lima 2.3 L 4 cylinder which gets great gas mileage compared to other cars of its time, 25 in the city and 31 on the Highway. Automatic transmission shifts smooth in all gears. Factory installed power steering works great. It has the Ghia package which is a cosmetic upgrade of Paint, Top, and Interior, thanks to the famous Italian Design Firm Carrozzeria Ghia.
This gem is a restored barn find that was brought back to life after sitting for many years. It was donated to a charity auction, where I bought it and invested over a hundred hours of work and thousands of dollars into parts.
While the body is very straight and it appears to have never have been in any accidents, it carries a salvage title because we bought it at from a salvage auction where they didn't have the original title so we had to apply for a branded title in order to revive the vehicle. It was a clean title prior to the auction, and now it carries California plates with tags current through March 2018.
