Car description

1965 Ford Falcon Futura 4.7l, C4 auto trans.

This car spent its life in Tennessee, it was originally purchased at Bob Bales Ford and it still has the dealer plaque on the rear panel. The car is 99.9% rust free, I have had every panel off front to rear and never found any evidence where anything has been repaired or patched. The entire car was under coated front to rear a long time ago, early in its life preserving it from the elements. It still has the original trunk mat and a spare tire with all of the tools. Mileage says 02175 on the dash, I am not sure of true mileage and neither was the previous seller in Tennessee. The VIN is 5H17C105575. The VIN tag Info is: body is 63b, trim is 35, date is 24h, axle is 6, trans is 6. I have checked all this out with a VIN decoder and the only thing that is not original is the color. It was originally smoke grey, the color on it now is much more fitting than plain grey.

This is a true survivor car, I have seen a lot of these cars for sale over the years that have been cut up and big motors put in them. That makes me sick to see that happen, especially to car as pure as this one. I built this car to be a resto mod but with some minor upgrades for driver safety, and reliability. Here is list of what is done:

It starts with, completely new suspension and steering front and rear. The steering is manual, no power, but it is light to steer on the road. The front has an upgraded sway bar and adjustable alignment strut links. The springs were shorted to get just the right stance, and it still has excellent ride quality. In the rear I added a sway bar and upgraded the spring shackles, also to get the right stance.

The front brakes are upgraded to 1967 Mustang disc, it has all new stainless steel brake lines for the entire brake system. I added a power brake booster, master cylinder, and proportioning valve, also from a 1967 Mustang. It has all new rear brake cylinders, shoes, hardware, and drums.

The interior was in decent shape when I acquired the car, but went I through it anyway and bought new door panels, floor mats, and polished all the trim to perfection. The original radio still works and picks up AM radio stations perfectly.

I went through the entire electrical system and bought new or rebuilt anything that needed attention.

I rebuilt the top end of the engine. The heads have been machined, I had hardened valve seats and new stainless valves installed. I put in a Howard's cam, double roller timing chain, cam retainer plate with oil galley modification to oil the cam better, roller tip rocker arms, Petronix Flame Thower distributor and matching coil, Tuff Stuff one wire alternator, new two barrel original rebuilt carb from Uremco, fuel pump, engine harness, harmonic balancer, water pump, radiator, electric fan in addition to the five blade it has stock(just in case it ever got hot), the list keeps going, but you get the point. This has been a three year project and I have enjoyed it very much.

Pm me with any questions you may have, I also have every receipt for everything purchased for the car since I have owned it. (It's a pretty thick folder)

Thanks for looking!
