Car description

1959 Ford Fairlane Custom 300 Coupe - Rare classic

What you see here is a very rare 1959 Ford Custom 300. There are 11 convertibles for sale on eBay at the moment, but when was the last time you saw a Custom 300 for sale.

This is a great usable classic Ford, in fact I use it almost everyday. She is totally reliable and a pleasure to drive.

Everywhere I go, I get people waving, giving thumbs up and complimenting me on the car.

Selling without a reserve - every bid is a winning bid.

Condition

The paint is bright and shiny and very presentable. It is not perfect, but still great for a classic that is intended to be driven and not parked on the back of a trailer or taken to Pebble Beach.

The chrome bumpers shine up nice, but do have a few blemishes here and there - good driver condition.

The stainless trim is all complete and in nice condition.

Being a desert car, the body is in good condition, with a completely rust free chassis, solid floors and trunk.

The interior was redone at some time and is very comfortable and suits the car very well. The carpet is fresh and the headliner has no rips, tears or stains.

Mechanical

The odometer shows a little over 95,000 miles - possibly original.

The car starts first time every time and has Pertronix electronic ignition.

The previous owner put lots of new parts on the car;

New carb, brake master cylinder, brake shoes, some brake lines, fuel pump, gaskets and water pump I believe.

The car brakes nice, even and straight and does not veer. The parking brake works perfectly as do all the lights and horn.

Wipers are vacuum and work only when they feel like it.

The original air cleaner comes with the car as well.

The tires also look new.

The engine is a 223 ci 6, which is excellent on gas and very easy to maintain and very reliable. Transmission is manual, three-on-the-tree.

Summary

This is a fun, reliable, driveable classic, that's cheap to run and easy to maintain. She's ready to go now, with nothing for you to do, but to enjoy at your local cruise or use as a daily driver as I do.

The car has a clear Nevada title and is registered in my name.
