Car description

1957 Ford Thunderbird

Garrett Classics is proud to showcase this beautiful '57 Ford Thunderbird in Raven Black with Red Interior. This car showcases an older quality restoration of the original color combination on its exceptionally solid body. It is an absolute pleasure to cruise and is now available for sale on our showroom floor. This car is complete with photos documenting its restoration along with the original window sticker. We have paperwork dating back to 1999 and owner records back to all but the first two owners. The current owner has had no one work on this car but Peter Leddy, a well-known Thunderbird mechanic in the Dallas area. Enjoy our presentation and feel free to contact Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 with any questions.

The paint was restored in its factory shade of Raven Black. The paint has had some chip touch-ups and a professional polish & wax recently. There are some imperfections, however this car is very straight and attractive as you can see.
The interior features the correct red vinyl (XH). The seat is 4-way power-operated & the windows are power-operated. The factory speedometer & tachometer are working correctly. A later AM/FM cassette stereo has been installed. The steering wheel is a smaller diameter classic unit. The dash is optional padded. The door panels are in excellent condition as well as the dash and instrument bright work & faces.
Under the hood is the previously rebuilt 312 Thunderbird Special Y-Block V8 with a chrome dress-up kit & polished finned aluminum Thunderbird Special valve covers. This "dress-up" kit was specified on the original window sticker. The air conditioning system features an updated compressor. There is also factory Master-Guide power steering & Swift-Sure power brakes.
The original trim plate is intact and legible. The aluminum radiator is specific to 1st generation Thunderbirds and does it's job well.
The porthole hardtop is in very good condition. There are some imperfections in it's paint.
The factory 14-inch steel wheels & hubcaps were fitted with updated B.F. Goodrich Silvertown Wide Whitewall Radial Tires (205/75R14s) all around.
The black canvas soft top is in excellent condition. The trunk is solid, complete with trunk mat, jack & spare tire/wheel.
The underbody appears exceptionally solid throughout.
