1955 Ford Thunderbird Custom

This car was frame off customized in 1998 by Andrew Keegan, the actor, who was then dating Leann Rimes, the country music star. I bought the car in 2009 from Mr. Keegan.

The correct Y block 292 was rebuilt (documented) in 1998 and has been driven 12,000 miles since. It has a 1957 Y block 312 manifold and carburetor for easy starts. The car has a Ford-O-Matic transmission. The paint is pearlescent with 20 pounds of crushed pearls in the paint. The dove grey interior matches the dove grey convertible top, soft top only (not shown). The dash, seat piping and door trim is purple. There are purple accents under the hood. The car has been lowered and the rear is raised to give it a forward leaning stance. Exhaust pipes exit behind and under the car, not through the bumper. It has front disk brakes and American Racing Mags all around. The front and the rear of the car are custom to give it a clean, sleek look. Matching fender skirts are included (not shown). The car has been converted to 12 V. The battery is in the trunk. Great cruiser!
