Car description |

Thank you for considering this arduous project. 20 years ago this car would have gone straight to the scrap yard as did so many iconic classics of yesteryear. Fortunately or perhaps not, this one remained in the woods of Westchester County, New York and did not turn into a modern microwave oven!! I may be reached by cell or text at (914) 403-1768-John
I am offering for sale a barely surviving coupe. It is a 65 6cylinder with a 3 speed. The original drive train remains and appears to be functional in both. The engine turns freely with the use of a socket attached to the main pulley. Compression can easily be heard . No ugly sounds emerge as you turn over the engine. The belts turn as do the generator and cooling fan. The rear wheels turn as well as the front. The 65 car was not fit with power steering or power brakes. The manual 3 speed is also complete and original including the beautiful shifter, as it waits to be awaken from a hibernation of decades.
The dash is original including its push button AM/AM radio. Not a misprint! The steering wheel is from day one. The car was fit with a white vinyl interior including bucket seats. The driver's seat has gone missing. I have found a pair of period buckets in nice condition on Ebay.
Now for the heavy work. Rust everywhere. Floors, quarters and doors. Everywhere. But, the frame is solid and straight. I see no accident history front or rear. The trunk floor surprisingly enough is intact and original.
Of course a total paint job would be nice, however the car does enjoys its original paint throughout the door jams, engine abay and trunk. Non metallic midnight blue. A classic combination.
I am including all of the assorted parts shown in these photos including front and rear bumpers and 2 additional; steel wheels. Correct paperwork in order to register accompanies the car. New York State did not issue titles until 1974; therefore it is transferred on 2 New York DMV forms and an authorized New York State Bill of Sale. My cellular is(914) 403-1768- texting is fine.
This is a non running car but may be easily moved about on a flat bed. Feel free to call and come and inspect before making this purchase. At a price of $2900 dollars per car, it reflects the number five condition in last year's "Collector Car" Price Guide. Prices of vintage Mustangs have only gone up. If transportation is your concern, feel free to contact my dear friend, David Lempert, owner of Transport Masters at (561) 482-7789or a courteous and complimentary estimate.
The car is located in the beautiful hamlet of Bedford Village New York, just 42 miles north of Times Square and slightly west of Danbury Connecticut. Feel free to call or text at(914) 403-1768to arrange an inspection. I am open to the possibility of an interesting trade as well. Thank you, and God Bless the United States of America. Sincerely, NY Fireman, John Louis.
Please do not bid more than you are willing to pay for this car. Please do not assume someone will bid higher than your bid. I take the rules and regulations of eBay seriously - please respect this.
