Up for auction is Ole Blue. A 1980 Ford Ranger 2wheel drive 300 inline6 cyl enginelong bed regular cab pick up truck. I have owned this truck since Sept 28'th 2007. It has been a good old truck. I have had very little trouble with this truck for the almost 10 years that I have owned it. the truck was a old cattlefarm truck just before I purchased it. It has a few dents and dings but not bad looking at all for a 37 yr old truck. It has the original mileage of 127,647 miles. there is nothing fast of fancy about it. it has300 6 cylinline engine. automatic transmission. power steering. it came originally with a dealer add on a/c but the compressor is no longer there. it has very little rust for its age. it was purchased new here in Knoxville at Allen Russell Ford which is Ted Russell Ford now. you can look over the pictures and see the condition of the body and interior. as you can see in the picture that the seat is worn on the drivers side. the dash pad has the usual cracks and damage from the sun from over the years.the bed has a few pin holerust spots in the bed. you can see that in the picture. the bed has rusted some at the end of the bedup next to the cab. the floor boards had a little rust not bad but I put sheet metal on them years ago and riveted them and put heavy undercoating onthem. I have kept the bed painted over the years usually every 2 years 1 for looks and the other to keep it in good condition so it wouldn't rust. over my time of owning the truck I have really tried to take care of it. I purchased another truck last year and no longer need this truck thatis the only reason that I'm selling it. over my time of owning it I have put a new gas tank on it. new front and rear brakes. new tires last year. a new voltage regulator. a new alternator. a newkey ignition switch. new spark plugsnew carburator new distributor . and changed the oil regulary. It has developed a flutter in the idle from sitting during the winter. Once you give it some gas it clears right up. The truck has been sitting all winter and wasn't drove any. The automatic choke wouldn't work right when I put the new carborator on so I put a manual choke cable on it. On warm mornings or days it is not needed. Just on the colder days at start up it is needed. The center latch on the tail gate never has worked. I have always used a screw driver to gently pry the latch on the right side of the tail gate if I wanted to open the tail gate. The left side don't latch but the tail gate won't just come open. If that bothers you you could always put another tail gate on it. They are very reasonable here on eBay. The other thing is the shifter indicator does not work it shows P no matter which gear you put it in. I will try to fix that, that operates by a small string and could have either broke or just slipped off but it does not affect the drivability of the truck. Just make sure you have it in drive and not D2 or Low. You can feel the clicks to find the right gear. I have tried to be as honest as I can be describing the condition of the truck. if you have any questions you are more then welcome to send me a message.I'm not requiring a deposit on this auction. you will be required to bring cash when you come to pick it up. the listing will run for 7 days. if you bid and win it you will have 3 days once the auction ends to pick it up. by not putting down a deposit you will not be guaranteed a purchase until you actually pick it up. buyer isresponsible for vehicle pickup or shipping. it has 4 new shocks added 2 years ago also I also have this vehicle for sale 2 other ways other then here and this Auction can end at anytime without notice unless I have bids. Update to listing description. Since I made this listing I have worked on the truck. I rebuilt the carborator and cleaned it out real good and cleaned the fuel filter. There is no longer a fluttering issue with the idle.
