The Story: PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POST I bought this truck about a year ago and have been putting time and money into since then. It has 138K with a steel flat bed. front fenders have rust but it is not an eyesore. Has new in the last year; 2 duralast Gold batteries BF Godrich rugged trail tires 265/75/16 Every last brake line and hose. Rear wheel cylinders. drums and hardware Front calipers and pads Master cylinder Vacuum pump serpentine belt rebuilt transmission (AODE) with less than 1K miles (have receipt from shop) Transmission cooler and lines Block heater cord It had a new starter before I got and new glow plug relay. there are probably more parts I am forgetting. Since I have had it. it has smoked when started and ran. I started investigating by doing a compression check. I so far checked cylinders number 5. 7 & 8 with 5 being 250 PSI 7 is 340 PSI and 8 is 220 PSI. being out of fords spec of being within 25% of highest and lowest (and recommended of at least 350 PSI). Since I now believe the engine needs rebuilt or replaced I would prefer to let someone else finish the project. I am willing to consider trades (and I can possibly add cash) on 3/4 or 1 ton 4X4 extended or crew cab pickups gas or diesel. If I cannot sell it than I will fix it and continue to use it. have been using it with it smoking thinking it was just some injectors so it is running and driving.
