Stk 2195 1940 Ford Deluxe Ford sales were solid in the late '30s and early '40s. Their reasonably priced coupes and sedans were rolling off the assembly lines and flying off the showroom floors. This classic 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe is a perfect example of that success story. It received a total frame-off restoration in 2010 and has since claimed an AACA Grand National Award as well as (6) Preservation Awards and (2) Dearborn Awards. The exterior of this '40 Coupe was beautifully restored and painted by Rick's Auto Body Gastonia NC in 2010. The original sheet metal was refinished in Tuxedo Black and trimmed with new chrome accent pieces. Stock 16" wheels BF Goodrich Silvertown 'Wide-Whites' and factory wheel covers complete the offering. Next the interior was carefully restored by J&J Auto Upholstery and is a cornerstone of this award-winning coupe. Everything looks perfectly authentic - tan cloth upholstery dashboard Bakelite components and 17" wheel - all showstoppers. Seat belts were added for safety. The coupe is powered by a rebuilt 221ci flathead bored .030 over and sporting a mild cam. An upgraded crankshaft high-pressure oil pump vintage Holley Model 94 / 91-99 carburation and NOS distributor further enhanced the build. Smoothly transferring all this horsepower to the banjo differential the 3-speed manual transmission has factory '3-on-the-tree' column shift. The chassis incorporates stock suspension manual steering and totally rebuilt hydraulic brakes. This award winning Blue-Oval is ready for your next hometown (or national) car show parade or summer cruise-in. Call 800-650-1055 or visit our website for more information. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS"
