Stk 2198 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 The 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 is considered by many to be one of Ford's finest designs. The 'Thunderbird' inspired roofline on the 2-door Club Victoria model is classic. Ford also introduced a 'Fastback Coupe' body style in '63 but many Galaxie buyers still preferred the much more formal Club Victoria'. This handsome Galaxie 500 CV has been nicely refinished in Ford Glacier Blue. Narrow whitewalls rear fender skirts and factory wire-wheel covers w/spinners accent the body's classic lines. The blue interior was partially restored to factory specs including reupholstered bench seats in contoured vinyl. Dash and headliner are in very good condition and sounds come from an aftermarket AM/FM radio. The Z-code 390/300bhp/4V FE engine with dual exhaust is said to have been be rebuilt (date not confirmed) and runs very nicely. It is backed by Ford's three-speed Cruise-o-Matic transmission. A solid chassis supports coil spring front suspension and leaf spring rear suspension. It is also equipped with power steering air conditioning and manual drum brakes.
