1920 Ford Model T Roadster Speedster 1928 A Chassis Runabout TROG Pickup
This is a very cool newly assembled Ford Model T Speedster Roadster pickup. All Steel body Model T body on a 1928 Ford Model A chassis. The chassis was left over from someone that had built a hot rod using the body, but it was just too good of shape for me to see it go to waste. The paint on the frame is in excellent condition and it has original shocks and arms that work on all four corners. We put Knobby 18 inch Ford wheels and tires on the back and 17 inch Ford wires on the front. The chassis and drivetrain is all stock original model A. The engine runs extremely well, clutch, transmission and brakes all work fine. The engine runs great and the engine oil is nice and clean. I've included a video to show how well it runs. The box is a Ford Model T box that is in fair condition. I threw an old Doboy Feedstore sign into the bed and used a set of Ford Model A rear bumpers for the gas tank mount. The tank is an oval Model T that we brazed a filler neck to. The car has 6 volt headlights and a tail light, running lights only. I did not install a brake light switch. The steering is nice and tight. It has the floor mounted Model A accelerator with plywood floors. The seats are custom-made bomber seats with the Ford script cut into the backrest. They are edged with black plastic edge protection and are very comfortable. This is a great little Runabout truck that is pretty perfect just the way it is but is also ready for you to take it to the next level. The doors are tack welded shut. I used Model A running board brackets and rumble seat step pads for steps to get into the driver's compartment. You will need a 6 volt battery for it. Also the tires hold air and look great on this relatively period correct Speedster. You may want to replace a couple of them before you seriously drove it. I do have other 17 and 18 inch tires available that I could probably include if you would wish. I just prefer the look of these knobby tires. I also have multiple other 18 inch and 16 inch wheels available if you would be interested in purchasing a spare. I'm also including the top half of a Model T Roadster windshield with frame in the sale for the purchaser to use if they'd like.
