1947 Ford 1/2 Ton PickUp
You are bidding on very nice, clean and pretty unmolested 1947 Ford 1/2 ton pickup that has been a joy to own. The truck is an excellent driver, for 70 year old truck, with a classic look. It scoots pretty nicely on the road and is perfect for local runs, meets and Sunday drives, which is its primary usage. My family and I enjoy driving it whenever weather permits.
The truck came from Florida, and I have old registration cards from the 60’s to the 90’s showing the truck resided WV and FL. Some features below:
Clean/Clear TX title in my name
No rust or rot - very clean on top and bottom
Does not overheat
Does not smoke or leak
Has spot on oil pressure for this engine
Flathead 6 with no knocks, no smoke or leaks
Engine along with engine bay is very neat and clean
Standard 3 speed (on floor) with reverse – shifts very smoothly
Drum brakes – stops very well!
Paint is very nice and shines but has some dents, scratches and bubbling – it is what you would call a solid 5 footer
The floors had repairs some time in the past
Windows go up and down
Weatherstripping and body seals are fresh (not rotted)
The chrome is nice but does show light surface rust
The windshield wiper works
The horn works
The lights (hi/lo) work
Tires are bias ply correct to the year
It has been converted to 12V and has aftermarket gauge cluster (working gauges are oil and temp), but other than that it is pretty bone stock (the original gauge cluster has been disconnected)
You do not see these very often especially . I would like to sell this truck to a good home and priced it $$$$ below the average price so you can enjoy it as is or put your touches without spending $$$$!! One thing to mention is during cold weather and high RPM (which is seldom), the belt would squeak a little, which did not prevent us from enjoying it. I have also factored this quirk into the price.
I can arrange reasonable transportation both open and enclosed for you and can store the truck, after it is paid, for reasonable time in my garage.
Please do not assume anything - call/txt/message me if you have any question or need any additional information/pictures/video of the truck. My cell is 281.six8six.5005 or contact me through EBay. As with anything this old, sold as is with no warranty offered or implied. I also reserve the right to stop this auction anytime and cancel any/all bids.
