Car description

I've spent the last couple years getting this car into good reliable running condition. The work I've done I'll summarize below, but I also have a 3 ring binder full of receipts for parts I've put on the car. Recently, while driving, the hood blew open and is damaged. There's no damage to the hinges or roof of the car, and the hood may be repairable. There are photos of the hood below. I've decided to try to sell the car since I have another project and another collector car to drive.
New to the car includes:
  • New GM Crate 350 engine coupled to a TH350 automatic transmission and the original shifter.
  • New windshield and both front and rear side glass, with all new weatherstrip and a new repro headliner.
  • All new 12V wiring, including an electric fan and electric fuel pump. Even the dome light works!
  • Newly rechromed original grill. The yellow spot light in the center of the grill is a vintage accessory. The hood has a vintage 'bull nose' hood ornament. I installed an NOS rear bumper. The trunk hinges are rechromed originals.
  • Extreme Kustoms control arms with new ball joints, 2" drop spindles, and 2" lowering coil springs. The tires never rub.
  • Power disc brakes and new brake lines.
  • Volvo steering box conversion using a Fatman Fabrications adapter.
  • Rebuilt door hinges
  • The previous owner refinished the interior door panels, seats and carpet.
  • The tires are brand new radial wide white walls that have the appearance of being bias ply tires. They run about $400 each. The wheels are powder coated in gloss black.
  • I installed a modern rear differential to get self re-energizing brakes and a highway gear.
  • There were holes in the floor after I removed the original brake and clutch pedals. I riveted stainless steel plates over the holes. Otherwise the floors and rockers are solid.
I've driven this car down the highway at 80+ MPH for about an hour with no trouble. It's ready for the new owner to finish the bodywork and paint it.
