Description

1965 Mustang GT. 4 speed, totally rust free West coast Mustang, built inSan Jose, CA and lived in Nevada its entire life.Originally silver smoke grey metallic paint. (dark blue-silver)Previous owner had adhesivemolding down both sides so there are no dents or dings anywhere except for a small corner on rear valance exhaust outlet.Chrome, glassis all in excellent condition, no damage to underside, bottom fenderedges, rockers, floor pans all straight. Doors, hood trunk all close perfect and alignedperfect (except for the standard mustang factory trunkmis-alignment)Looks as if its never been driven over a curb.Because I never drove this car. I bought it to restore last yearbecause I had a classic car restoration shop at the time andits the greatest car ever built in the history of the world.A few months ago I turned into a grandfather andstarted a new business so I'm sellingmyfavorite caroriginally built in a dark blue silver color. The best color. It is alegitimate GT optioned car.disc front brakes, larger GT master cylinder, sway bar, correct exhaust, suspension, correct stampings, etc... If you need pictures of the 50 weird spots that indicate GT option or any other info, I cantake pictures next time I'm at my shop. There are stamped metal parts only done on a GTthat people have to drill out when they are building a tribute fake car. This was just going to get aninterior, black primer and basic tuning and freshening up and was going to be driven likeSteve McQueen until it actually needed to be fully restored. I took the instrument panel out and have a new one I wasputting in with the vintage SW gauges it had.The trunkhas a lot of new old parts and I have fender GT badges but they arechecked from the sun. I haven't had the time to tear into the engine but it will start and I don't know how many miles and haven't researched if its original block because I don't care. I hot rod everything anyway. I can research that this week because I'm sure someone is going to want to know. All I can see is thatit was built up like I would have done it in the 80s-90s with a roller valvetrain, Edelbrock, Holly ignition, Headman headers, Hurst 4 speed. No rust or body damage anywhere. This is a resto or resto-mod guysdream of a starting point andwould have been the easiest buildin my life if I could keep it.
