Accelerate Auto Group is pleased to offer this gorgeous 1955 Ford Thunderbird Convertible, finished in Torch Red paint on two tone red and white interior, which gracefully combines Ford’s classic style and solid performance!
It’s a 3 owner car that was originally sold in Alabama. The original owner sold it to the second owner who also lived in Alabama. The third owner bought it about thirty years ago and had it restored shortly thereafter. Since then it’s only been driven in nice weather on weekends, holidays and vacations.
It’s in very good shape, especially when considering the fact that it’s 61 years old! It runs and drives well and is very sound mechanically. As you’d expect from an older restoration, the paint and panel fitment aren’t perfect. However, this beauty would hold its own at local cars shows. The underside is clean and rust free. The only thing we can find that doesn’t work is the clock….we gave up on those a long time ago.
