In a world full of cookie cutter & wannabe Hot Rods, it is so refreshing to see a true old-school Hot Rod that resembles the originals that ruled the streets back in the 40’s & 50’s!
‘Red Hills Rods & Classics’ is thrilled to offer you this absolutely bitchin’ 1932 Ford Tudor Sedan Hot Rod, a brand new no-expense spared build with only 90 test miles on the clock! This jewel is an example of what hard-core 50’s style Hot Rodding was all about! Fully restored by a life-long Hot Rodder out of Arizona, the original body was found in Santa Ynez, California, where it has been resting for over 50 years! Rumor had it that George Barris and/or Barris Customs modified the car back in the 1950’s, but it was impossible to get this information verified. Either way, the 50’s styling, radical 5” chop, and other related components made it a very special project, which spanned several years to gather just the right parts to complete & revive this rolling work of art. After bringing the body back from California, the body was stripped of all filler/lead, and the metal was strengthened where needed using modern welding techniques to bring it up to today’s quality standards. Countless man-hours were spent making sure that all of the original sheet metal was laser straight throughout, and that all gaps aligned perfectly. It was then finished off in high quality Bright Canary Yellowbasecoat/clearcoat, which looks spectacular on this ’32 Chopped Sedan! Other features include: louvered hood, flush mount windshield, commercial style headlamps, and hidden fuel door behind the left taillight. She sits on black 16” Steel Wheels w/ green pinstripe wrapped w/ new big/little Excelsior Stahl Sport Radials. With an absolutely perfect stance, you can walk around this car a hundred times and never find a bad angle! Underneath, the fully restored chassis features period components such as dropped front axle, split front wish-bone w/ traverse spring, gas shocks, adjustable coil-over rear shocks, original Buick drum brakes, ceramic coated exhaust system, & Magnaflow mufflers w/ chrome tips. Every component underneath is highly detailed throughout! This is a show quality undercarriage where you can lay mirrors underneath at car shows to show off your Hot Rod!
Open the driver’s door and you will find a beautiful ultra-clean Black Naugahyde interior which features ‘34 Ford bucket-seats, rear bench seat, black loop carpeting, custom body color dash w/ old-school pinstriping, full set of Stewart Warner Winged gauges, and a ’55 Ford steering column. The driver’s seat is fully adjustable so no matter what size you are you will fit comfortably inside this bad-ass Hot Rod! The passenger seat pulls forward to allow your friends to get in back! Rarely will you find a ’32 Ford Sedan that is so spacious inside and they almost never have a rear seat for your friends, kids or grand kids! Again, the interior is ultra-clean and fully functional.
Now, let’s get to the heart of this beast, shall we?
Resting under the hood panels you will find a beautifully detailed Olds ‘Rocket 88’ 324ci V8 which was completely rebuilt from top to bottom, and features many of the period-correct performance modifications including: Tri-Power Stromberg 97’s, aluminum Weiand intake manifold, remote oil filter, & custom built ceramic-coated tube headers. Transferring the vintage horsepower is a completely rebuiltcast-iron Hydra-Matic transmission, and a Winters quick-change rear differential. She starts, idles, runs & drives beautifully in every way, and has a surprising amount of power & torque! The 324ci ‘Olds Rocket 88’ pulls hard which makes this ’32 Ford Sedan Hot Rod an absolute blast to drive! If you do not like attention, this is not the car for you, as everywhere I drive it people are snapping photos w/ their smartphones, and giving the thumbs up sign! When I pulled into the gas station, I had a large crowd around the car within minutes! Everyone absolutely loves this ’32 Ford Sedan, and I know that you will too!
Whether you are looking for a one-of-kind Hot Rod that will certainly win First Place trophies at any national level car event that you decide to enter, or simply a Hot Rod that you can drive & enjoy thoroughly without worrying about reliability, this is your car!
