This is one of my favorite vehicles of all time. It has lots of bed space, nimble steering, great breaks because of the bed length I guess, nice power, very reliable, simple work truck. It was repainted a couple years ago, has No Rust. It’s Southern Truck. The tires are about a year old. I used the truck to move refinished leaded glass entrance doors, one or two at a time. Light duty for sure. I bought it from a construction company with 75,000 miles on it in 1997. They used it as a supervisor’s truck to drive from Atlanta to South Carolina and back.
Main Street Automotive replaced a leaking intake manifold gasket and said it badly needed a tune-up. It was time, so I personal replaced the spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotor. It didn’t run right so I took it right back to them thinking I did something wrong. They later diagnosed it to have a leaking compression in one cylinder. It idles rough but runs ok. I paid them $100.00 to do a overall engine assessment before they replaced the gasket!! They said everything was good for an older vehicle except for the failed gasket. To that, all I can say is AMAZING! Obviously they never did the assessment. It has since been diagnosed with a bad valve by someone else.
I’m semi-retired and decided to get a bigger truck as I wouldn’t need to be as concerned as much with gas mileage. I still like my Ranger better.
THERE HAS BEEN A LOT OF SCAMMERS WHO OPEN A NEW ACCOUNT, HAVE NO PURCHASE HISTORY, AND BID THE VEHICLES UP, ONLY TO BE HIGHEST BIDDER AND NEVER HAVE ANY INTENTION ON PURCHASING. YOU AND I BOTH LOSE, YOU GET OUT BID AND I FIND NO LEGITIMATE BUYER.
IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN I WILL CONTACT THE NEXT HIGHEST LEGITIMATE BIDDER AFTER THE AUCTION AND OFFER THEM ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE.
THANK YOU. ENJOY THIS TRUCK
