Car description

Really hate to get rid of this one but want to move onto some other projects. Original model a roadster hot rodded in 1951 in Fresno California and mostly untouched since, not a barn find as this one hasn't been stashed away, its always been a well maintained driver. The details, extremely nice all original body, fenders, hood, grille, etc, with 60+ year old black lacquer, no rust anywhere, there are a few small dings here and there and the paint has a perfectchecked finish, something you can only get with decades old lacquer. filled and peaked grille, filled rumble seat handle. chrome guide 903 headlights with marker jewels. the frame was updated with an original 32 k-member, f-1 steering, 32 wishbone, original dropped axle, and juice brakes, the rear is a banjo with freeway friendly gears. interior is an old 50's lebaron bonney leather kit, it does show its age but is in great shape. original aristocrat dash with flat bezel Stewart warner temperature and amps gauge and a curved glass big logo oil pressure, the f-1 steering is topped off with an original bell 4 spoke wheel. when I got the car I moved the seat back since I'm 6'3", its now very comfortable to drive and there's even enough head room to chop it a few inches if wanted. rumble seat matches the interior. The engine is a built 59a, internals are unknown as its been in the car for decades but it runs amazing, one of thequickest street flatheads I've had the pleasure of driving, great oil pressure and it doesn't overheat. engine bolt ons include and edelbrock intake with 3 97's, offenhauser heads, and headers, all that is backed with a early ford top loader. In the last couple years, all the brakes have been gone through, new clutch, updated to tube shocks, new wiring, carbs were gone through, radiator recored, etc and I just put a fresh set of firestone tires on the Kelsey Hayes wires with lyons caps. The car is ready to go, runs and drives great, cruises comfortably down the freeway at 70, all the lights/gauges work, title and registration are current. the car is for sale locally, if you would like to come see it in person call me at 760-815-3234 between 4-10pm pacific time.
