For Sale, 1973 Ford Mustang Coupe. Needs full restoration.
Local offers only. Local pickups only. No shipping.
Quarters rusted, trunk rusted, Rust along the roof line where a vinyl top once was. We purchased this car from someone who just bondo'ed everything up without repairing the rust. Paint Bubbled up and looked really bad within a year. We pulled most of the bondo out of the bad areas with a sander as can be seen in the pics .
Engine good, approximately 106,000 original miles. carb sat too long with gas in it, doesn't work. Starts right up when pouring gas down carb. We parked this car in 2003 to fix it up. At that time the power steering pump had gone out. I purchased and installed a power steering pump from a junkyard and installed it with new hoses. I had a new front end kit put on it with new bushings and everything(I have not had it aligned since installing this kit as all parts mentioned were installed after the car was parked), put in a new ignition switch, both the part that went in the steering wheel and the lower piece, new light switch, new rear brake cylinders, and otherwise it's just sat. Three of the four tires are flat and cracked and will need replaced as well. Rims are aluminum, so could be polished back up. I also have new brake pads and new shocks for it as well. Besides needing the body work, the car is in pretty decent condition.
Clean title in my wife's name, but we can't find it, so we would have to go to the licensing place with buyer and sign over there to avoid any lost title costs or anything, but it's easy and quick to do. The buyer is responsible for the titling costs.
Car will need to be towed away on a flatbed, as it is not driveable. The buyer is responsible for towing costs.
Prospective buyers are more than welcome to come and view this car personally. Please message us for details and to set up an appointment.
The car is being sold as-is. We will not accept returns or issue refunds, in any amount, regardless of reason.
