1948 Mercury M68 Pickup Truck, very rare truck. Complete with all specific Mercury emblems and tailgate. All original with original Flathead V8. Runs and drives very well. Can help to arrange to ship anywhere for buyer. Selling with No Reserve to the highest bidder. Re-Listed due to no contact or payment from previous buyer, 'rusus.umqxekeow'. No more time wasters please.
This Mercury M68 Pickup is in all original un-restored condition. There is very little rust. The patina to the original paint is great and I would definitely choose to not paint this truck. The interior is all original. The original Flathead V8 starts and runs perfectly. It has a smooth idle and pulls well. The 4 speed transmission shifts smoothly and the clutch is very pleasant to operate. The brakes work very well. Overall this truck drives very nicely for an original truck from this era. I've been driving it around locally with no problems.
Mercury trucks are very rare due to only being sold in rural Canadian towns between 1946 and 1968, so are very unusual to see in the US. This particular example came from Manitoba, Canada which is a western province with a fairly dry climate so it has survived well. We have specialized in importing these Mercury trucks into the US and have successfully found new homes in the US for 42 Mercury trucks over the past 2 years. So if there is a particular model year you are looking for please contact us as we currently have 7 Mercury trucks in stock and get more most weeks.
If you have any questions please message or call either 406 548 7144 or 403 359 4936.
If you require a shipping quote please contact us and we will get you a price and put you in contact with the shipper that we use to transport our trucks.
Full payment required within 7 days of auction ending via cash or bank wire. We do not accept PayPal but cash on collection is fine if collecting within 7 days. Collect at your convenience if you wish to collect rather than have shipped. Just give us at least a few days notice to make sure we are around as we travel north a lot sourcing these trucks.
