Here's a vintage pickup that does a great job of mixing together some of the most iconic F-Series generations. It might look like a 1965 Ford F-100 when you first approach it, but other parts of the body and the interior have had much more modern donors.First off, this red paint with black accents gives off a feeling that's mixture of tradesman's ride and classic hot rod. Because this one doesn't show a lifetime of working 9 to 5, you can really see the intricate sheetmetal that came on these vintage pickups. Ford did an amazing job in '65 with a little fender flare in the front and plenty of rounded curves. The brightwork is bold and wide on this pickup from the bumper to the way F-O-R-D is spaced all the way across the front. There were flareside beds available in '65, but if you're a F-Series fan, you'll instantly recognize the cool upgrade with this one. A '92 bed and its slicker sheetmetal has been custom mounted to the truck's chassis. The fit is so good and they were painted together after the build, so it's a very nicely integrated new element. Diamond plating was added around the parameter of the bed to match the lock box and side steps. This makes the total package a very uniform custom build. There are even Weld wheels and bold dual exhaust tip to give this one a bit of a racy attitude, and we'll tell you how it earns it in a moment.Open the door, and you immediately notice some nice upgrades. The cloth bench seat is from a late-model pickup. This not only means extra comfort, but also the fold down armrest has deep cup holders a handy feature you could never find in the '60s. The interior is given the same aggressive red as the exterior. But even with this more modern feeling, there are still great vintage touches like the classic Ford steering wheel and clear original speedometer. In-between those is a large tachometer, which lets you know there's plenty of fun to be has with the red ball shifter just to your right.Under the hood is Ford's legendary 302 cubic-inch V8. The trusty motor is nearly infinitely upgradable. So beyond the flash of the bright valve covers and air cleaner is the substance of components like a four-barrel carburetor and headers. This helps make a wicked rumble out of the dual exhaust, and with the four-speed manual transmission, you can really keep this pickup howling. But there's another side to this F-100, too. The motor was rebuilt 18,000 miles ago for good reliability. Plus, the twin I-beam front suspension is far superior to the solid axle vintage pickups. There is even a trailer hitch with wiring harness in the back. Starting to get the full picture on this one? It not only mixes cool custom, vintage, and aggressive elements, but it also has a very practical side to reliably get you around town and tow your toys. This F-100 can still do a hard day's work, and best of all, you can pick it up at a workman's price. Call now!!!
