Car description |
---|
1930 Ford Model A roadster with rumble seat. This car was restored in 1995 and has had very little use through the years. it was a body off with all running gear rebuilt and suspension rebuilt,it has a 1935 Model B engine. (1935 Diamond block) that was completely rebuilt, transmission was rebuilt as was the rear end, brakes etc. the the body and paint still look very presentable with only a couple tiny dings (one on top of hood and one on the lower part of right front fender, too small to see in pictures). the interior is in nice condition and so is the canvas top. it comes with a complete set of side curtains. the wiring still looks new and everything works, vacuum windshield wiper, horn, all lights, turn signals, fuel gauge, speedometer, amp gauge, fog lights are NOT hooked up. the radiator was recently professionally flushed out and water pump was rebuilt with leakless kit. fresh high output battery, new spark plugs, points condenser and roto, fresh oil change. This car runs excellent (very strong for a 4 Banger) and goes down the road at 50 mph with ease. suspension is tight and steers and drives extremely well. it seems to be very dependable, always starts instantly hot or cold and does not over heat. the clutch is excellent with no chatter, brakes feel very good and stops straight.I use the car for a grocery getter and to cruise around the beach area. everybody loves the car and it gets tons of attention. On a scale of 1-10 10 being best I would say its a good solid 8 1/2 out of ten not perfect but still very presentable. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL ANY ZERO FEEDBACK BIDS. if you have zero feed back you must contact me before you bid.. The car comes with a clear California title in my name. it is registered as a 1930 Ford Roadster and is on a non op. Shipping is up to buyer but I will do all I can on my end to make sure its loaded safe and sound. Sorry but I had to cancel the ad after only about 30 minutes and relist it because there was an error in the description that needed to be corrected. The Roadster is all Henry Ford Steel, it has just a little over 3,000 miles on it since the restoration. several people have asked if it can be driven on the Freeway and I must say NO. it feels good at 45-50 mph without pushing it and is great for weekend cruises, local car shows, parades and for having good old Fun . if you want to go fast a Model A is not for you.
