Beautiful 1977 Ford LTD Landau
Great low-mileage survivor with 55,163 actual miles. All original including the paint and interior - although I have installed a new, correct vinyl top.
When I purchased the car, it was literally sitting in a field. It was in need of some TLC and a deep thorough cleaning - everything has been gone through and serviced. It has the 351M engine and 2bbl carburetor with automatic transmission. Both are in excellent running condition - Ihave added roughly 3,000 trouble free miles since acquiring the car. See below for a full list of work that has been completed on the car.
The 1977 models were among the last of the true full-size Ford models before being downsized in 1979. This particular car is the Landau trim - which was positioned at the top of the LTD trim levels and is painted in its original Medium Gold Poly Metallic with light cream vinyl top, a striking color combination. This is a very nice, low-mileage example of a full-size 1970's American car that is ready to hop in and take to a car show or out on a summer cruise.
Items Completed:
-Brakes have been completely gone through including new brake pads/shoes, rear wheel cylinders, new front rotors (disc brakes), new master cylinder and fresh brake fluid.-Brand new vinyl top installed using correct cream color and grain material - which also matches the side moulding (see photos)-Brand new white wall tires - P235/75R15-The paint has been buffed, polished and waxed to bring back nearly all of its original shine.-Other new parts include: fuel filter, fuel pump, valve cover gaskets, lower radiator hose, water pump, carburetor cleaned & rebuilt, spark plugs, wiper blades, PCV valve, and belts. The above parts were all replaced using OEM and NOS Motorcraft parts-NOS grille installed-All new window weatherstripping installed-New hood insulation pad installed-NOS dome lamp lense installed-The interior is immaculate, spotless and like new with no rips or tears and includes a set of matching color-keyed (Ginger) Ford Motor Company accessory floor mats.-Optional Equipment include Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, AM/FM Stereo, color-matched side moulding and vinyl top, Ford accessory trailer hitch.-The car runs and drives well, starts the first time every time - still has many of its original factory installed hoses and lines including DuraSpark plug wires, all in great condition!
Some things it still needs:-Air Conditioning system needs charged (which I will take care of)-Cruise Control doesn't seem to work-AM/FM stereo turns on but again, doesn't seem to be working.-The exhaust system could use replacing-Paint has a some blemishes and imperfections, a few minor dings and dents - although no through rust. Front driver side fender and door were resprayed sometime early on. (see photos)
While it is sold as is, it is a great running car in excellent condition! There are a few things that still need addressed but otherwise very reliable and pleasant car to drive.
The buyer is responsible for picking up the car.
Additional comments or questions welcome - please feel free to call me 816-824-2902.
