Car description

Vintage Southwest (mild climate) born and raised, reat running and driving, irtually rust free (one small spot-see pics), ll stock, 976 Ford F250 Ranger XLT SuperCab with a relatively new rebuild on a 351M V8 engine and C6 automatic transmission. It was licensed through January 2015 and driven regularly until about a year ago. I just had it tuned up, nstalled a new battery, ad the carb rebuilt and it's running great. The exterior is where the real strength lies in it's hard-to-find, irtually rust free, ccident free extended cab. It has one spot on the passenger side rear cab corner (exterior sheetmetal only; the inner panel is excellent). Anything else is just on the surface. The bed isn't pretty but it's still pretty decent (see pics); the tailgate is stuck shut right now. Doors open and close properly and windows roll up and down. All glass is good. It was painted long ago in blue over the original two-tone tan and white. The prep wasn't impressive so it has multiple flaking areas. What's underneath looks very good. And any areas of exposed metal I've already treated with a rust protectant. The interior is rough but original other than a respray to match the exterior blue. Floorboards are solid as you can see from my multiple undercarriage shots (please ask for them). Speedo/Odo work as well as all gauges other than fuel. Front lights, orn and wipers work. Headliner is gone but ceiling looks great. The dash is in good shape with no cutting or butchery of any kind. It shifts perfectly but the little indicator arrow is missing from the steering column. The old AM/FM/Cassette deck still works. The running gear is another place where this F250 really shines. Engine and transmission have been rebuilt fairly recently and they perform wonderfully. It runs and drives very tightly with almost no rattles or squeaks. Ignition has been upgraded to electronic. Factory air conditioning is all there but fanbelt has been removed. Brakes work but vacuum assist canister needs replacement; right now the brakes are manual. Steering box leaks power steering fluid and needs to be topped off frequently. It's got a newer dual exhaust system and sounds great. The value here is clearly in the rust free nature of the extended cab and excellent condition of the running gear. If the little stuff was fixed I wouldn't hesitate to drive it cross-country today. I simply hope it ends up in the hands of someone who will give it the love it deserves. Just my two cents. My name is Chris and I am happy to answer your questions. Please call me at 435-669-1470. I also have about 200 pictures that show every nook and cranny in great detail including many undercarriage shots. Send or text me your email address and I'll get them to you. This solid 1976 Ford F250 Ranger XLT SuperCab pickup truck is located in the dry, esert community of Santa Clara, tah (about 125 miles north of Las Vegas). Good luck and good bidding.
