1950 Ford Custom DeluxePurchased the car in 2008 and it was sitting for seven years somewhere in Missouri. Replaced all of the wiring as the original was fabric insulated. Replaced the master cylinder, ll calipers, hoes, rums and emergency brake cable. Changed the gas tank to a plastic one and replaced the fuel line along with the fuel pump. After putting some marvel "magic oil" in the cylinders and rotating the engine, he fired right up. I then replaced the tires and drove it to work once a week until moving from San Diego to the DC area. I had it shipped to FL in 2010, s I didn't have anywhere for it at my new location. While on vacation with the family (week of Thanksgiving), spent a few hours and aired up the tires and moved it from the back yard to the front yard at my Mom's house. I purchased a new 6 volt battery and some gas, ut the battery off of the shelf didn't have enough to start her. Confident that if I had a good day that I could get her running again, nothing sounds better than the flat head purring), nfortunately with work and new family I do not have time to do anything with the 50 and hate to see it just sit around in my Mom's back yard for what looks to be many more years before I would be able to do anything with it. Everything is still original except the wiring and gas tank. All of the trim pieces, ront turn signals, and tail lights are inside the car. The only bad glass is the rear passenger door. The front passenger door is the only one that "sticks".Feel free tomessage meif you have any questions.Make me an offer on this"shoebox Ford"and we shall see where it goes! Please check out the link for a video tour of the entire car. https://youtu.be/I4LOYyQMMT8
